I've got some drill bits, but it could not hurt to bring more. I'm not sure of the exact size, but they are less than 1/4" for drilling holes in the roofing and support bars.

You know the crappy part? I'm sitting here in Kent, Washington right now. I could almost make it to the work party, but I have to get my son back to his dad by 6 on Sunday in Idaho

Sorry, I won't be able to make it. Too much to finish here while it's not raining.

OK, well I considered all avenues to at least try to make it for a couple hours, and it just won't work. I have to have one son in Des Moines by 12 and the other one back home in Idaho by 6. It's just not do-able. Dang it!

Thank you to Sandy and her husband Bruce, Kelly and her dad Gary, Julie and her husband Dustin, new volunteer Brandon, Emily, Catrina, Betsy, and Sara who came today for the work party! We got one entire shelter built, new gravel put on all existing paddocks and a half of a new paddock and walkway built. We also raked up the arena footing into piles so it can be picked up tomorrow.
Next weekend we will have another shelter to build, finish the new paddocks and also extend out the existing paddocks and add a walkway around the front and side of the paddocks, and put up fencing, which will be wood posts and rails this year instead of tposts and hot tape. Plus finish work like gutters, feeders, etc. So there is plenty more to do! I am guessing we will probably have to add a third work party the next weekend after that to finish it all. So if you didn't make it this weekend, I hope to see you at the next work party!

I wish I could make it out on the 20th to help finish stuff up, but I'm out of town that weekend. If we end up needing a third date, I'll do my best to make it!

I hear the weather is going to be FANTASTIC tomorrow so we should have a great day to work on the projects! We also have a great crew lined up (THANK YOU!) but I'd like to invite EVERYONE to come out if you can because the more people we have the more likely we'll get these projects complete! I'm very proud of all of you for stepping up to help out. We have the most incredible volunteers EVER!!!! I'm so looking forward to seeing/meeting you. ps: have I mentioned that I'm contemplating ...CuPcAkEs? ?

Are you ready for this??? We had 17 people out there working today!!!
That is sooooo fantastic & THANK YOU to all of you who made it to help out. We got so much done...many checks off "The List"!!!
I think everything got started, lots got completed but we still have more to do so we're adding a 3rd work party day next week (see separate thread for details)
