What are the conditions for getting to Jaime's? I am supposed to come tomorrow and need to know. I am planning on leaving here at 8:30 and should get there by 10 (providing the roads are decent. I also need to know if anything special is having to be done (water buckets, rather than hose...etc). Thanks

Lynn, Old Owen was mostly bare and wet this afternoon and I am guessing by tomorrow will be completely bare and wet. Some of the side streets are pretty hairy (like getting to Whisper) but getting here should be ok. My driveway is a mess - Mike's cleared much of it with the tractor but its still a mess but you should be able to get in and park by the house and get out again. I'll be there and we can go over any changes - hose is functional again for water but everything is a horrible, slippery, wet mess! There is standing water in the shelters and the snow sliding off the arena took out the new gutters Mike put up on the shelters. I'm out of bagged shavings and as of yet haven't been able to get into the shavings pile so I am going to have to try and get some more bagged shavings tomorrow or else Mike will have to tractor his way into it. It's the biggest mess I have ever seen.

Just FYI - I will be out Monday around 3pm. Sorry for last week. I fell twice thanks to the snow. Doing better now. Just bruises and a little sore.

Folks - do try and help Jaime out this week. She's got a load of work with Whisper, the farm (and now repairs ) and her own job. The roads are clear and as long as you wear good boots, coat, gloves and hat (which I forgot) you will stay pretty warm and dry. It only takes a few hours out of your day and helps the horses and Jaime so much! thank you

I will be there tomorrow late morning-ish, I can stay all day if needed. I have the day off from work. If there are any special projects that need to get done, let me know.
My car is incapable of going through more than 7" of snow as I discovered earlier. My car sits low to the ground and will get snow piled up under it an I will get stuck. Due to that problem, I will not be able to help Whisper. That makes me sad.

NEED MORE HELP - WEDNESDAY!!!!At this point we still only have ONE person coming on Wednesday, that's Monica! Ideally we should probably have 2 - 3 each day. We soooooo appreciate the extra help we've been getting this week. I don't want to wear anyone out so is there anyone else who can come out to Jaime's? I think we'll have a pretty good turn out for Thursday as it looks right now I also am working on a crew for Friday. My son is trying to round up guys from the Ramp at Horizon Air...we're talking Baggage Throwers...er..I mean Handlers!! Big STRONG guys!! Keep your fingers and hooves crossed that there are some free that day. Are we going to be able to get the supplies to fix the roof on the shelter by then?

Jet, i can come wednesday, but probably earlier, like 10am. Not sure when monica usually shows up to the farm--would that timeline work out?

I wish I could come out today, but I have to go to work Darn job always ruins my plans. .... well, that and the darn snow. So I plan to come out Friday AM, probably around 10am-ish. Are we going to have some roofing material to put back up on the shelters?? What about building an actual roof over the shelters? With plywood, tar paper and shingles? It would be stronger and quieter in the heavy rains. Anyone with roofing experience?
