Coconut thank you for the kind words. I just happen to be given two of the most wonderful horses to care for in their time of need. Both Emma and Holly have the potential to be Super Stars. Emma was lucky to find the prefect home for her. Along with Dutchess, who is just as wonderful. My job is to help Holly to find her prefect home too. I had the bonus of Mindy's help for this show. Sometimes if you show people the potential they will look beyond the "rescue horse" to the real horse. I saw it the day they came to me. There is a part of me that doesn't want to let go of Holly but she needs to go show that rescue horses are GREAT horses. You already know that with Coconut! I must say that the three TB horses at the show have come a long way too due to the hard work of many others. You are so brave!

I completely agree about the TB's they were so beautiful! Cedar, Little Miss and Haley were so wonderful to watch. I know one of the gals I came with would take Cedar in a heartbeat if her Mom would go along with it! She talked about her all day Little Miss is just adorable & I bet she's got lots of admires by now!!! I couldn't keep my eyes off Heidi either... SAFE has made some incredible stories possible and it's hard to believe that these amazing horses were ever in trouble. They are just stunning both in looks and in responsiveness. I never saw any of what I heard were Haley's challenges but still, considering the relatively short time she's been with SAFE it's incredible that she was able to take on the show. SAFE & Dr. Hannah should be VERY proud!

Yay I love all the pictures!!! What a fun day!!!!!!!!! Little Miss was such a sweetheart!! I am so proud of her. And look at my boyfriend!!!! He got 3rd place in the walk only on my usually-wild mare Lady, even after he was marked down for not wearing boots (oops)!!! Lady was so good, she even went in the leadline class in place of LM who was feeling done for the day Graham looks to be as large as Lady in those pictures....... he really needs a 17h draft cross! The show went awesome, I was so proud to be wearing my purple shirt, I wouldn't have wanted to spend my birthday any other way!

Video of Cowgirl Spirit and the SAFE horses in the blog today. blog.seattlepi.nwsource.com/horsebytes/archives/146978.aspHey, Leah, belated happy birthday to you! Cedar does have someone seriously interested as a result of the show. There was also one young girl who stopped me to ask about Cedar, her eyes wide when she asked, "Is she really for sale?" I said she might want to ride a smaller horse first, but that there could be a horse like Cedar in her future, and she could learn more on the website. Even if its not a practical possibility, that's how dreams are set in motion. Maybe she will spot the "true Cedar" inside of some other horse in need some day and help them.

Monica, that's awesome! Please remind the "seriously interested" party to complete an adoption application for Cedar. Thanks!

What great videos! Monica- in the CGS one there are a few black minutes in the middle (from about 1:30 to nearly the end).

Double looked so great with Kyra! It is hard to believe he last raced just a few months ago, and was a free "throwaway" horse.

Thanks Cat! We were so pleased with him (and her!) She should be very proud, as she and Monica (nhsavvy) put all the training on him in the past month in their "spare" time!!
She got some very nice comments from the judge... she said they were well suited for each other. As she is fast approaching 6 ft, I just hope she doesn't "outgrow" him!! LOL!!!
We were also so pleased that hops could come to the show and watch them together!! I know she was pleased with their performance as well...

Well, he actually never raced. (He was in race training last year and early this year.) They looked fabulous! I was so proud - and SO impressed. I sent some more pics off to oneidea and it's her call whether or not to post them as it's her child and her horse. Anyway, thank you ALL for putting on such a wonderful event! The fudge was tasty, everyone was so kind (and as mentioned in the other thread so incredibly capable and efficient.)

Grow, Kyra, Grow! (She does need to buy Frankie...who is shooting rapidly toward what I believe will be a full height of 16.3 or 17.0)
