Here's some of the photos and a video clip I took from the show. Anyone else who has photos is welcome to share them here! Here's the first one, a video clip of Holly doing showmanship. She got 2nd place in her first class and 1st place in her second class! Way to go Holly (and really, Mswan and her daughter who worked hard to prepare her for this!):

SAFE horses getting ready! I was so pleased that our 3 TB mares did so well...they loaded and hauled great (even Haley!), stood quietly at the trailer, and were unfazed by all the excitement around them. We were off to a great start! The adorable Little Miss: Cedar: Holly, wearing her slinky: All tacked up! Cedar, Haley and Little Miss all wore lavender saddle pads to signify they were available for adoption: Cedar, getting ready: Cedar and Monica both strike the famous TB "Look of Eagles" pose for the camera: Conformation shot: Heading down the trail path down to the arena:

More photos (sorry, I tended to cater to the SAFE horses, mostly): The Walk Only class was had some absolutely adorable children in it: This horse was a saint. Look at his tiny rider, doing it all by herself! Jeanette and Coconut: Leahs' "other half" riding the lovely Lady: and Leadline was a hit: Hunter hack, I was testing my ability to take jumping photos: The Friesian wasn't much for jumping, but he high-stepped his way right over the cross-rails:

The jumping photo turned out looking great. That was an Arabian right?
I did not get to see all the horses this year. Next year I will make sure the Prize Drawing booth in within eyesight of the arena.
I love to see the little riders on the horses. They just look so darn happy.

Awsome pictures and video!!!! Can anyone tell us how Holly placed in the trail class? We had to leave before the end of the show to pick up my computer. So we don't know the results.

Lynnm and her friend Sarina (shown here with Heather Trop of Trop's Chocolates) had the most amazing booth set up where they were selling their art (both of them are artists), as well as their friend's chocolates and Leah's beautiful prints of the SAFE horses. These are some of the artwork - these are done from photos of the SAFE horses. Beautiful work! [thank you ;D - LynnM] A photo of a drawing of a photo.... Thank you so much. We all had a blast and sold lots of chocolates. The apples seemed quite the hit with the Bribe Your Horse class. The drawings and painting are still for sale to benefit SAFE. If anyone is interested, please let me know. Thank you also for allowing me to be the Ribbon Diva. I had a ball!!! Perhaps next year I will even be riding.

I would love to be able to give that information, but my clipboard got left in the back of Jaime's truck, and I highly doubt she can make sense of my cat scratch. Maybe we can figure something out so I can answer those questions for anyone who wants to know.

When I first entered the ring for English Showmanship I looked at several very well prepared horses/handlers and thought "what am I doing here?" I was intimidated & felt way out of my league. But as the day went on we got a little more comfy with the whole thing and at least relaxed a bit...
but then came Western Showmanship and here enters this VERY WELL prepared gal and her amazing Appaloosa (which is my favorite breed, don't tell Coconut!) and I thought "OH NO, here we go again...I'm up against pro's here" but then when I realized that it was HOLLY...the same Holly from all the photos and that it was Mswan's daughter I almost couldn't believe it! I was soooo impressed and honored to share a ring with them...and trust me, I watched every move they made! Not sizing up the competition but seeing how it's really done.
Mswan, YOU and MINDY have done an amazing job and have done that horse proud! By showing her off like this, you've given her a gift at the chance of a home that will appreciate her & give her the life she deserves. I don't know if I could do all you've done and then let her go when the times comes but, in my book, you are a rescue Hero for what you've done. I've been thinking about you 3 all day and I'm still in awe!!
