What about at the bigger boarding barns? I thought I would go to Cascade Meadows and the one on Woods Creek.
Bonnie - if you have more packets - I'll take at least 2 more or if you think just the entry forms tacked to the bulletin board works - you could just send me a handful of those - or if you want just the posters there - I could do that.
I think we should target the larger boarding barns for sure.

Hi Jaybird, I was just hoping you got my pm and my address. Still working out all the shorthand and how these message boards work. Lynn

I think I forgot to confirm that I did, indeed, receive my poster packet and boy is it grand! I took show packets to Del's/Auburn & Reber Ranch so far and they were both enthusiastic about it. In fact, the gal at Del's had previously said "yes, you can put a flyer in our book" but when she saw the packet she took it, and started figuring out where she can hang it. All the gals at the desk seemed equally interested. The Reber gal lit up when she saw it too! So, Hat's off to the SAFE Show PR team! The packet is wonderful and eye catching. And to REDMOND!...The Barn Pro sponsorship was a huge bonus to our credibility...THANK YOU!! I have a schedule to get myself out to the other locale's on my list and should have everything hung by Wednesday. The day I got the packet in the mail I also got a coupon for 10 free color copies from Office Max so I went in and had more of the poster made to hand out. Awesome Job everyone

Today was a challenge but some things worked out well: Centerville Western Store, Tacoma is GONE...it's an Antique Mall that was closed on Mondays anyway. I can possibly drop in tomorrow and see if they know if Centerville moved or if it's really good-bye gone. Del's Spanaway - pointed me to the FOR SALE Board until he read what it was and then said FOLLOW ME and asked the desk clerk to put it up there...he said "It's a benefit thing!" ;D Performance Horse Gear, Spanaway was also GONE If anyone knows if either Centerville or Performance Horse Gear has moved, let me know and I'll hit them sometime tomorrow. As I was looking for addresses I did come across a shop called K & S Saddlery...HOLY COW...that place was stuffed to the gills with stuff. I think they have everything. They even have ENGLISH! I thought English gear had been outlawed in the southland...he he he! But NO, it's right there in it's very own room @ K & S! They also said they had a selection of Arab Tree Western Saddles... They were very happy to see me and took the packet and posted it right away and suggested I contact the owner, Ken to see about a product donation of some kind for the show...so in case anyone is interested and in area, they can be found at: K & S Saddlery 228 162nd St S, Spanaway, WA 98387 just a little plug for being so nice to me today. BUT Back to the postering: I'll be back on the trail tomorrow and hopefully will find all the locations I've mapped out for myself!

17302 Pacific Ave S, Spanaway was the address I went to and it's an empty store with a For Lease sign and no notes about where they would have moved to

If there is no one on our list from down in that area, I might be able to call upon one of my own volunteers as she goes down there to see her son all of the time.

If anyone goes way south, don't forget to hit The Tack Room, Too in Tumwater/Olympia. You probably wouldn't leave that store without buying SOMETHING.

Hiya Lynn! That*shopping* temptation while postering is a doozy! I nearly walked out with new boots from Renton Western Wear when I went in there today ;D too bad they didn't have my size!! However, I will be going to the Renton Store tomorrow and who knows...there may be some PINK boots coming home with me to match my Coconut's adorable Pink nose! =: O) Is there a show class for fashion coordination? My step daughter talked me into a pink halter and lead rope awhile back and it's still pretty in it's package. I think I definately need new boots to match...right!? Don't tell Mr. Coconut for some reason he's on to my boot collection! I could buy 100 new outfits and he'd never say a thing but bring on some new boots and he's ON the job! "Tell me again why you need MORE boots?" ... silly boy! but back to postering.....have fun! I don't think it hurts one bit to have these shops believe they might get a customer out us just by putting up our poster...and I'll always tell ya'll when I have a good experience! So far, everyone's been very nice and helpful.

Whoohoo! just let me know the size and I will scout out the "pink" boot selection As I've been out of the horse biz for the better part of 30 years, I have a lot of STUFF I need - not to mention the horse ;D

Oh man - try working at a tack store!!!!! I have 4 saddles, a zillion saddle pads, every brush, every type of hoof dressing ever made, 16 blankets of various weight and season....and yet I still go in the store and find more things Lady must have!!!!!!!!!! I swear I spent 1/2 my paycheck on tack... but I also got a handsome discount! Coconut, you DEFINITELY need pink boots!!!!!!! Just like Lady needs a new Stubben halter with nubuck finish....
