Liz, if i lived closer I would be so interested in coming to this. I have a question about the hay probe. What information does it give you regarding your hay? Kurt and I have implemented several of the ideas we got when we went to Alaynes seminar. I think all horse owner should try to attend these types of events. They are so informative, and in the long run save horse owners money and maintenance. Edited to fix my spelling

The probe doesn't give you the information it just allows you to take core samples from multiple bales to send in to Equi-Analytical to have tests done. The baggy I sent in looked like this:

Is Equi-Analytical a local lab? Or can anyone send hay samples to them for testing? I wonder where I could get that done down here. It would be interesting to have my hay tested. Maybe you could forward me their information and do you know what the cost is?

Cool!!! From what I have heard there is PLENTY of room left in the class, no need to cap it for parking o people space as we have plenty.
I got my hay test results yesterday and Harris Statema is going to hopefully talk about those and the previous 3 years' worth of tests, too.

The class is full! If you are coming, please park out back. When you come in the driveway drive straight back through the gate into the field.

Dr. Bob will be doing a presentation similar to the one he did for this class. It will be on Wednesday, October 15 at 6pm (or 6:30) at Bill's Country Farm & Feed on Auburn-Enumclaw Rd. near 196th Ave. (just east of the White River Amphitheater by a couple of miles).
