I took some pictures today! Only have a few moments online right now, but I will have them up tomorrow morning.
She's quite a nice looking mare with a decent trot. We haven't seen her gait yet -- she might need a little more room for that.
She is going by the name Dolce. She may not live up to it yet, but she made significant progress today.

Dolce? I thought that was the Dk Bay mare's potential name.

Yes, Allison changed her mind when she saw this paint mare and wanted her to have the name Dolce. I think we are hoping that with a name that means sweet, she will grow into it! Great pictures and write up Monica, I am glad to hear she is responding so well with Julie.

She's a beauty. And good thing we don't have boarding set up right now. My other half has a weakness for gaited horses! His favorite horses are Tennessee Walkers

I think she is part TWH, and part paint/QH. She is super cute in person, big head, built like a tank. She isn't shy either. She would make a nice trail mount.

Allison, that's what I kept trying to tell him too, but he says that in one of the pictures, she's not picking up her feet quite right for a Walker. I think she looks like she could have some TWH in her! He said he might change his mind if he saw her in person, but he's not allowed to do that. We are not set up for a horse right now. I'd rather wait until we buy our house and have our own set up than trying to board.

I put up a new post about Dolce, encouraging people to guess her breed. Come say what you think! blog.seattlepi.nwsource.com/horsebytes/archives/129037.aspHopefully I will catch her gaiting at some point when I have a video camera around! Unless Julie is in the pen with her, I haven't seen her do anything besides sidling up to the fence while I am loading hogsfuel from the pile by the pen. She desperately wants to belong - she just doesn't know how.
