Suggestions for Mare with Strong Heat Cycles?

I have a mare that has strong heat cycles that have caused her to lay down, get the runs and drive my gelding crazy teasing to him. Does anyone have experience or a recommendation of a product to ease her cycles? I have seen products from the OTC stuff to vet prescribed, but haven't heard what works.

Mare Magic - Red raspberry leaves. I might also suggest Evitex from Emerald Valley, which is a Chaste Berry elixer. OR, you could order a pound of the whole, dried berries and grind them up in a coffee grinder. (feed 1 ounce per day)
