I just wanted to create a special thread to thank our wonderful, kind, and generous vet, Dr. Hannah Evergreen. Hannah has gone above and beyond the call of duty on more than one occasion for SAFE - from setting up IVs late at night when poor Ernie came to us in such terrible condition, to running out to my farm no less than 4 times in 24 hours during Benny's birth and then Viv's retained placenta, to coming out on yet another emergency call when Vivian colicked. She has become more than a vet to me, she is a trusted friend who in addition to helping our rescues has also been helping me treat my senior TB gelding with chronic renal failure, and has spent time researching different herbal therapies that might help him. Hannah services the greater Snohomish/North King County area and offers, in addition to regular vet care, advanced dentistry, chiropractic, and herbal therapies. She now has a website: evergreenholisticvet.com/default.aspx(check out "About Us" for a picture of Hannah with one of our rescue) Many thanks also to clearlybluebreeze for including us on her site and to her daughter, Kelsey, for all her help!

I second that! I would like to say for any of you that have not met Dr. Hannah - you would be hard pressed to find a more warm, caring individual - VERY easy to talk to - clearly loves what she does - the horses love her (which certainly helps) - she has a demeanor that is very calming to both horses and people alike. I encourage anyone to make use of her services - she is wonderful!

Here is another endorsement - she is great! She helps Hope for Horses with their rescues as well and has gone to the mat for more than one horse that no one thought would make it and managed to pull off minor(and not so minor) miracles and they are happy and safe today!

Yes, Gala......She is helping with Odie! I can't imagine trying to do this without her help. Odie is such an unusual case and has multiple health issue to deal with. Hannah has certainly gone above and beyond to help us care for him. She has researched many alternative treatments, made numerous trips to our place (sometimes daily) to check in on Odie during acute phases, been here to help with his care when I thought I couldnt do it anymore, etc.....She spent half a day last week at Pilchuck with us as Odie underwent an endoscope procedure, and I was so thankful to have her there. I have spent many years involved with horse rescue - but Odie was the first one that came home to our place......and needless to say - we got a tough one for our first!!! Hannah has been there for us every step of the way - her compassion for the horses is amazing! And her calm, gentle nature has certainly helped me get through the toughest of times! I encourage any of you that haven't met her to give her a try......you wont be disappointed. You and all your critters will love her!
