Hi all, I have started using this product for Brandy just to help her back to normal and wanted to know if any of you have heard anything good or bad about it and if you liked it and why and if you hated it and why. Note the very first ingredient: Ingredients: Dried Bovine Colostrum Dried Whey Dried Lactobacillus acidophilus fermentation product etc etc etc... Colostrum is meant for bovine calves. Where are the calves and why aren't they getting the colostrum? Well....if you know anything about the dairy industry - calves are a by-product - pure and simple. Go to the Marysville auction - many times you will see newborn calves that didn't even get to have that first colostrum because it's too valuable to the dairy industry. These calves very often die even when we try to save them. It's just too late to try and give them what they needed in the first place. Some calves are just plain old thrown out. Some get to live that glamorous veal life. Sorry to go on and on - but just like foals were by-products of the PMU industry - so are calves to dairy. (except the 'lucky' few females that get to be the milker's replacements) after Mom is sent to slaughter as a spent milker. Ok ok - I know I'm being a Debbie Downer but you all know the PMU story - this is the Cow side of it.  |

Wow, I have just read and saw the info about dairy milkers on the web and I will not be buying this product. Don't you think all manufaturers of a product, no matter what kind, should have to provide and informational on where and how the products are made so that the buyer can make a concious choice. I bet a lot of folks would make different choices if they knew and not just the animal lovers. Kind of like the nutrition lables on our foods. These lables would have to show enviromental impacts, animal abnormalities, by products, and most important the expendable animal count and what happens to them as a result of their product. If this has not happended by the time my kids are raised then maybe I will go on a crusade of educating thru media to make this happen. Lotty is 4 so in 12 years look me up and then I will have fullfilled my obligations to my kids and can devote my years being a pain in someone elses butt's instead of my kids |

Three weeks ago newborn Jersey bull calves were selling at $4 a head or $30 for 10 at the Toppenish, WA auction. There were about 300 of them. With no colostrum I am sure only 50% of these calves will survive, if that.
Many of the older bull calves and steers were crippled with white muscle disease due to lack of selenium - due to plain old ignorance or not wanting to spend a few cents on BoSe. (vit E +selenium supplement)
