Letting feet grow that long, isn't that neglect? Wouldn't an auction house have info on an owner so charges could be pressed? That is just plain cruel to starve the horse, ignore their feet then dump them at an auction. Is there really no recourse? ARGH!

OK, not trying to be pushy here....but how long before we think Bo's ready to go? Thinking maybe mid summer? Cuz there's just something about him...about his face.... I want to meet Bo! ;D Hey Whitewolf - come visit him! Anytime! You aren't being pushy at all. I think we'll know more after Hannah sees him on Friday, but while he is very thin he is not emaciated and I think he will probably put on the weight pretty quickly. I think a couple of months at the most, unless he has some other issues going on. Slew - I haven't checked for a tattoo, I keep forgetting to do that. I really don't think he looks very much like a TB or an appendix in person, and standing next to him yesterday, he is probably smaller than 15, maybe 14.3 or so. I'll try to take a look under his lip tonight.

I think here very soon I am going to make a trip over to see all our little beauties. I want to see them all so bad! But now Bo especially. There's just something in those old eyes that's caught my attention. OK, well Bo and Bella. Bella's not her eyes though. She's just beautiful!

Yeah, check for a tattoo! That's how I found out who Sunline was (and that she was an Appendix QH, not a TB).
I think he has a Thoroughbred shaped head. That's why I think he's an appendix. But if he's not tattooed, I guess we'll never know for sure.

I would peg him as a Quarter Arab cross. He doesn't have the dishy Arab head, but I don't think the Egyptian lines have the same dish as the Polish. I may be mixed up there . Also, his tail sit high on his croup. He is a sweetie and a talker!!

Seen in person I am pretty sure there is not any arabs in the woodpile............he is pretty QH looking with maybe a dose of TB or something else but having been around arabs my whole life I am pretty sure he doesn't have any on the old family tree......but it would not be the first or last time I was pretty sure of something and was wrong LOL

LOL, you guys are funny, everyone has an opinion on this one. The farrier also thought maybe arab cross, but I don't see it either, and I think his butt looks arab-y just because he is thin. I think QH also, no TB.
Oh, and no tattoos on either of them.

Well, my guys needed new ones this year, so Bo and Dobbin are wearing hand-me-downs. They are getting along just fine with them, although I am sure they would love to have the fancy ones that go all the way down the nose like my guys have.
