This is kind of exciting news! (copied from COTH): The city of Enumclaw, WA is looking at adopting an equestrian theme for their town. Part of this project would involve major redevelopment of the King Co. Fairgrounds into a major Expo and Equestrian Event Center. Please visit the following link City of Enumclaw Tourism proposal and send your comments to the City Council. The City Council is still looking at comments and requested at the meeting for anyone with further comments continue to send them in. I think they are trying to test out the support for such a major concept. So...this is our chance for everyone in the Northwest to say that YES...we would love to see and would support a world class showground right here in Washington. From a business point of view we want to let them know that we are the sort of tourists that they want spending money shopping, eating and staying in their town. The website above includes a quick email form for you to fill out. Please take the time and let the council know how you feel.

That would be exciting - it is so beautiful there...and really horse country. As I work for King County and know what a pain government can be about things, please also contact the King County Parks Department and let them know you are in support of the proposal. www.metrokc.gov
