A real good friend of mine recently moved to Jupiter, FL and met a lady at a horse show yesterday, who has two horses, one of which is a rescue. In conversation the lady mentioned that her husband would like to get two drafts, preferrably rescues, for riding.
Do we have any info on drafts needing a good home in that area?
I would pass along everything to my friend.
Thanks

I have changed the title, because this lady would really like to give PMU mares a good home. They could be from out of state as well. Preferably Belgians and she wants to show them at some point and show off what these amazing animals, who have served society in such a stressful job, can do in the show ring.

The Canadian rescue that I volunteer for just listed 20 adorable draft cross foals. They are on a former PMU ranch that is no longer breeding for premarin, but for the Japanese meat market.

SOS Adoption & Rescue, as lildun mentioned, just listed foals that are raised by the farmer for meat. members.shaw.ca/sosrescue/ prices listed for UR Farms draft cross foals include coggins, health papers, brand inspection I know of two PMU rescues in Florida: www.heavenlymeadows.org/ www.pthorsemanship.com/index.phpBoth rescues are run by women who are in it for the horses, they are both very honest & caring.
