She has had such a great life since her rescue...it's like Raquita, it is sad to lose her but they both had a really great tail end of their lives. Sanka is the ultimate child's horse - she really loves the little ones and wants to take care of them and that was so evident when we were using her for lessons at NWEEC. She has had a lot of love and carrots these last few years, but like Raquita, when the legs stop working, there is just not much you can do.

Its the bittersweet goodbyes that just about kill us, Sanka is such a good girl, thank you for all the love and kindness she was given during this part of her journey. Her spirit will stay alive with you, tucked away in the pocket of your heart for a lifetime.

Oh no... I am so sorry Chelsea. I was hoping, as I am sure everyone was, that she could have some extra time in her retirement to be loved by some little kids. This is very sad news and I know a hard decission to make. My condolences to you. We will miss the sweet little girl. Thank you so much for taking her and making her last year a one filled with love. Laurie

It's heartbreaking, Chelsea, but it's the kindest thing. She's a beautiful girl.

A heartfelt thanks for being strong enough to handle the hardest part of animal ownership with grace. Sanka is so beautiful, I'm glad you are letting her end her life with the diginity and spirit that embody her.

Chelsea, if there is ANYTHING you need, please don't hesitate to ask! Even if it is someone to just hang out with for a few hours. She knows you love her and she thanks you for the best times of her life, of that I am certain.
