Wow. I just reread FNJ's thread. What a nice mare! She is so pretty and you've done so well training her. The picture from the SAFE show is lovely. You should be so proud of her and of yourself.

Kathleen! Look at her! She has turned into quite the fancy girl, hasn't she? She has filled out into quite the nice girl and will be the PERFECT first horse for Nicole. Way to go- this is what rescue is all about!!! =D

I got to ride the awesome little mare on the trail and she is the best trail horse I've ever ridden! Nothing bothered her; over bridges, through water, past crazy barking dogs, bicyclists, strollers, joggers, children, not even a flinch. She will be such a perfect horse for your little girl, lucky little girl at that!

Fancy has been busy lately. I've been riding her in the arena at least once a week to work on my EQ a bit and really get her softened up for cow work in the spring. I've been ponying her on the trails when I have a free arm, and the last few weeks I've had a friend joining us on rides that has been riding her. My friend hasnt ridden much except at horse camp in Jr. High. But she is a total natural and has been doing great on Fancy! The first week I made sure to take it easy to see if she could handle her. Today we galloped, crossed some nasty areas the horses really had to leap up, went down steep, muddy trails, etc. The horse really is worth her weight in gold. Thinking of taking her to an endurance ride this spring and doing the 25. Or at least fitting her up for one so someone can ride her in it and I can do the 50 on my Paint.
