Ty and Bubba finally made it home last night. After being on the trailer since 10:30 am and arriving here about 7:30 pm, they were plenty ready to stretch their legs. This is the morning after arriving. Bronco Bubba Ty I adopted Beau (Now George, feedlot Hilton) in June. Photos didn't want to download completely, but the important part is there!

They all look great! Does Beau like having buddies? Bubba looks like he needs a bath...or else its just the picture. He looks yellow.

Right now Ty and Bubba are relaxing in their own pasture, so they haven't met Beau face to face yet. I will tell you that Beau was very happy to hear that he was getting some male friends so he wouldn't have to be with those three mares by himself anymore! All the boys need a bath as they must do the ceremonial roll in dirt/mud each day. ;D

Bubba had his front feet done yesterday, but definately has issues with anyone messing with his back feet. He can really kick! Wonder if it was something that happened to him during his "Bucking Bronco" days? Does anyone know much about what they go through? Ty's feet are great and needed no attention and Beau, as usual, was a perfect gentleman.

Ty is such a handsome fellow!
Sounds as if there is one thing that will make Bubba look lively.... glad I'm not a farrier.

Ty (aka Houdini) escaped from his pasture. He and Bubba are sharing a pasture until we move and haven't gone in with the rest of the herd yet. Ty went directly to the other horses, so I let him in with them until I could find where he broke out. Beau began acting very studly and protective of "his" herd - kicking at Ty, etc. Sara, the Morgan mare, has had a crush on Beau since he came, but I guess Ty caught her fickle eye and she was running after him. I'm not sure if Ty was trying to get away from Beau or Sara, but it was quite a show. We finally move this weekend, so this should be very entertaining!

Finally got all the horses moved to our new home. They're all together in one large pasture and decided they wanted to be a wild horse herd and just run and play. That was great fun for a day or two, then they realized that they really missed grain and numies - now they run to the gate when they see me coming! They all get along very well and Bubba is even becoming quite the social butterfly. At first he was always by himself, but now I see him eating within the group and yesterday it appeared that Timid Little Bubba was making a move to be friends with Cinnamon.

Sounds as if Bubba has a lot more energy than he revealed last fall....

Yes, Bubba was actually galloping with the other horses! It is amazing that he also has an almost floating trot. I think he's really enjoying himself just being a horse. (He also really enjoys my husband giving him grain and attention!)
