I talked to Toby's current owner again last night and I think she is planning to make a decision this weekend.....she is "weighing out" the different possible homes for him and trying to decide which will be the best "forever" home in the right environment for him. I am grateful that she is really thinking hard about it.....I wouldnt want to see him have to adapt to yet again another family. Thanks to everyone for your help and offers! I am quite confident that Toby will have a new family real soon! I will keep you posted when I hear something.

Thanks - he is such a goober - just makes you giggle no matter what! The farrier didn't even tie him to the hitching rail to shoe him - pretty impressive! I am too very THANKFUL Toby's Mom is taking the time - she asked really good questions! I did caution her they must put up with a morning kiss with breakfast and my gushing admiration at dinner...(Fin sticks his nose up & out for his kiss - he's gotten one every morning of his life!) I have no doubts she will form her decision on only his best interst. It takes alot to make a decision like that. I'm honored to be considered. And can't we arrange 'transport' for diamondindykin...I'll pitch in!

Gala - Your place looks great and your horses so happy - I think Toby would be very happy living there. (I know I would be) Sounds like Elaine is planning to call you this weekend to talk.... I like the transport idea for diamondindykin!!!

cool....my honey just rolls his eyes and mumbles something like he better start looking for yet a bigger place... lol....then rushs off to calculate what we have stacked the hay barn. We give them all the time they need to figure things out and relax. We both took 4 days off work when Rob arrived (have to use that PTO for something!).

Well......I just heard from Elaine.....and Toby will be moving to California to live with Rob (and the rest of Gala's herd/family)!!! I can't even begin to tell you all how happy I am......I really think this will be a great home for Toby and I know Gala will love him! Thanks also to Bucknsly for her offer to be a home for Toby. This was not an easy decision and knowing he is leaving the state was hard for me ......but I do believe it is in Toby's best interest. Gala please keep us posted about when he will be making the journey to your place and Elaine said she will take pictures as he prepares to leave Washington and I am sure Gala will share pictures when he gets there. My daughter thinks we should go to California to visit him once he gets there.......Ya know teenagers will do anything for a roadtrip! Hooray!!!! Doing the happy dance tonight for Toby and Gala!!!!!

Cross my heart I will keep you posted! I rushed out with fresh sliced apples and grapes to celebrate with Tazz, Splash, Rob and piggy boy Fin. I know this was a hard decision and I'm sad Elaine had to experience it. Of course on the other side I'M THRILLED to welcome him, love him and care for him everyday for the rest of his life. Please know you are welcome here anytime...really, really...perfect time of the year to visit; we live in the heart of wine country - 38 miles north of San Francisco. Ok off to contact transporters! Thanks again - wow!

I think it was 'rainydayride' who posted the transporter links - a great, great tool! And the response is quite overwhelming! I want to forward a couple to Elaine and have her feel comfortable with the same ones I like. We started a pole shed for him today...he can take his room with him to the new place!
