Sorry I didn't get these up sooner but I was out of town. Holly looks fabulous (of course!) These are some of the pictures I took at my visit. No one would ever have the faintest clue this filly came out of anywhere but a good Appaloosa breeding operation. She's truly a very nice filly who will go far!

That's what I was thinking; she looks bigger. But of course we are all big fans of Holly over here.

She has grown! Is still growing! Look how much taller her butt is over her withers! The last time I put the stick on her, she was 15hh. That was a couple of months ago. When she came to me she was 13.1 hh. Holly is an amazing horse! I gave her yesterday off and when we caught up Too Shy and Sam, Holly stood at the gate and hollered. Hey! You forgot me! She loves the attention of being trained and trail rides are a bonus for her. I am so luckey to have such a nice filly.

Sounds like the signs of a great horse when they love to be trained. It makes it so much more fun when they enjoy being with you.

I keep thinking I'm going to post some pictures but it never seems to happen. Soon... Holly is doing awsome!! She is being ridden several times a week. Even after my accident I made sure I found someone to keep Holly's training going. She loves to learn so was easy to train. One catch is that she will carry a bit but it's under her tounge. We ride her in a halter. She's an indian pony. "I don't need no stinking bit to do this stuff!" We keep bitting her but until she keeps her tounge on the right side I won't add reins. OH, for those who said she would be short....Holly is now 15hh at withers and 15 plus at butt and still growing! I know for some that is short but my other mares are shorter.

Holly is such a pretty girl. It sounds like she is going to shape up to be a really solid riding horse. Great job, as always.

We have been taking advantage of this nice weather. Holly is happy to be back to work. I need to measure her again...I think she has grown some more since last year. I will post a picture when I get a minute.
