It is a wonderful thing you are doing for these two horses.
Can't wait to see how they progress.

Holly greeted me when I came out to feed this morning. All of my horses talk to me too. Holly and Emma got an other dusting for the bugs today. I'll be glad when we are over that. Holly likes her brushings. No need to Thank me. It's like being a Grandma, I get to love them and send the bills to someone else. (G) The best part is knowing that one day both Holly and Emma will get to be happy, healthy horses.

Holly also got her full dose of wormer yesterday. She weighs 680lbs and is 14.1hh. That is done with the weight tape, soon I will use the stick for a more accurate measure. Jamie brought out some grain and they will get started on a small serving of that today. Can you imagin the wonder when they taste "Candy" for the frist time. (grain) Holly is happy in her bright red blanket.

And since I commented on Emma - I can't leave Holly out! Holly has been one of the most sweet and stable of all of them I think. Someone is going to be INCREDIBLY lucky to have her in their lives - she absolutely is made of pure sugar.

I sent Jamie an update with pictures on Holly and Emma. They are doing great and putting on weight. Holly is so easy going, it helps little Emma with her fears. If our weather ever gets better I will start turning them out in a bigger pasture for grass. They have a stall, paddock and small pasture now. They don't mind the three meals plus grain a day:)))

Thanks so much for the updates - and especially thanks for caring for them so well. I bet they don't mind the handling and attention, either.

Holly got her feet done today too. She wasn't sure that was on her things to do list but Daphine was so patient with her that Holly let her trim her toes. Once again cookies made life better! Daphine was pleased at how the girls are coming along. Holly has shed most of her winter coat and is filling in nicely.

I dropped by for a quick visit on Holly today and she is looking fabulous! She is cute, cute, cute! Mostly all shedded out as well and her markings are so beautiful. No pictures, unfortunately.

Jamie Sorry I missed you. I was at a cattle roundup for the weekend. Had a wonderful time in the sun. My roan mare did wonderful, we are both very ready for a day off. Glad you think Holly looks good. She is so pretty. Can't wait to start playing with her in the round pen.

Holly and Emma got to go play in the big feild for the first time. They had a great time running and playing. Although, Holly would rather eat the grass. She looks really good. I have not seen her come into heat yet. Emma has been in twice. Dr Hanna comes out on the 14th so maybe she can check Holly then. I keep hoping I hust missed it. I will try and get pictures this week so everyone can see the progress of these girls.
