Equine Aid, the rescue who had the 4 remaining horses from the Carnation seizure, is overloaded and asked SAFE to help find another place for them now that they are past their critical first two weeks. Please be sure to visit Equine Aid's website - www.equineaid.net to thank Geri Vincent personally (and her kind neighbor, who donated use of her pasture!) for taking such good care of these girls for the past two weeks! This is Holly, a beautiful appaloosa filly, approximately 1-2 years old. She is very sweet and loves attention, and very level headed as well. She is in the best weight of all the horses, with her ribs only slightly visible, and she also has escaped the worst of the rain rot, so she is recovering well. She has been moved to a foster home in Duvall, along with her buddy Emma. Both Emma and Holly have had their feet done, lice treatments and their first worming. Photos:

After being involved with SAFE for somewhere in the area of two years now, you've found my weakness. I am absolutely in love with Appys. I love her coloring, and she doesn't seem to have that mangy "foundation" mane and tail. If I had pasture, out of all the horses we have ever had, this is the one I would take home in less than a heart beat.
And now I'm jealous of Bonnie for getting to love on her!

Holly is very definitely a very sweet girl. In all the time I worked with and around her, I never once saw her pin her ears at the other horses, she is extremely gentle and careful around people and she is very very quiet. I picture her as a child's hunter. She is a lovely sweet sweet girl.

She's very nicely put together. With more weight and a shine on her coat, she'll be beautiful - definitely a show prospect for someone.

I really really like this filly. She is very calm and steady and quiet, and just gorgeous to look at.

Does anyone know how tall she is? Does EquineAid only need foster homes for these two or are they ready for adoption?

She's small right now..maybe 14.1 or 2? Not sure exactly. SAFE has taken over their care from this point forward, and they have a foster home. They are part of the Elledge case, so won't be available for adoption for some time.

You're just making it worse for me, Jaime! If she's about 14 or so now, she should mature to around 15 which is just about perfect for me. I have such a soft spot for appaloosas! I will now spend every day for the next several months staring at pics of this little filly and pining away! LOL. Is there anything she (or any of the other Carnation horses) needs? I don't have much, but I think I have some brushes out in the garage. Maybe I could even send over some treats or something.

Love her markings, and sweet look in her eye. She looks the part of a true darling.

Thank you for taking these beautiful girls in, mswan! As you can tell, I'm quite interested in little Holly. Please take lots of pictures and give us plenty of updates. I'm sure no one here will argue with me on the pictures!

Holly and Emma are doing great. Holly is a real looker but when Emma sheds out she will be so pretty too. Holly is about 12hh right now. I will measure her in a few days after we get to know each other. Emma isn't too much shorter, so will be taller for sure. Whitewolf, you are welcome to come visit these little girls while they are in my care. They both love to be brushed.

If I lived closer, I would be on your door step! ;D
Unfortunately, I'm all the way over here in Idaho, but I truly appreciate the offer
