Oh what a pretty girl!! She looks very classic TB, such a nice kind eye! I had a dream last night about adopting a new bay mare-best friend for Lady..........if only I could afford another horse!!!!!!! I would take her in a heatbeat.

OK, I have to comment. While she looks absolutely stunning weight wise, you're right, schwung. She has an odd shedding pattern. The saddle makes it look like we've copied and pasted two different horses together.

There are little patches on her haunches where she is shed out... so stay tuned! I'm thinking that hair is functioning like a quarter sheet - the hair is gone in the places she'd sweat first - chest, neck and between her hindquarters.
Cedar appears to enjoy her work routine, but I can hear her muttering, "Walk, Schmalk, What's Wrong with You People, I'm a Thoroughbred!"
We have sneaked in a test trot now and then for twenty strides. Julie said "wow!" yesterday but she might be a little biased.
If someone would like to come and ride Cedar a couple days a week, she would benefit from that - we are ramping up from half an hour at the walk to an hour over the next month. With days getting longer, there is plenty of daylight to come in the evenings. Allison is too busy at Jaime's these days, and she has fallen for a pair of blue eyes...

Wow, I just re read Cedar's original post and it turns out that she might be a niece of my first Thoroughbred (my forever soulmate horse), his sire was Prince O'morn, could her grand sire be O'morn not D'morn? He stood stud in WA and I think he was a Wa bred, it's been a long time. But I will tell you what, her head, whither and the way she carries herself look just like my boy. He was an incredible horse with a heart that I could only dream of finding in another horse. It has been 20 years since he left me and I still think of him every day

Her grandsire is in fact Prince O'Morn by Round Table. Because of her inbreeding she carries a double whammy. Round Table is esteemed as a source of soundness and the "old style" solid build that Cedar has in spades.
What was your horse's name, Alyssa?

Interesting about the shedding pattern, Little Miss is shedding out just the same way.

My gelding is a Round Table grandson (by Apalachee). Round Table was 15.2 or 15.3 IIRC - here he is:
