I took advantage of the weather clearing this afternoon and played with Emma and Holly. Then they got to be tied to the tree and have a little beauty shop done. Picked up feet, got weight taped and height checked with the How-tall-stick. Emma is 595 lbs and 14.05 tall. Only 1" shorter than Holly at this point. Emma will make someone a wonderful horse. She is really fun to play with. Very Smart! Representatives from Kea's Crest (Har har ... my wife and I) will be in your area on Tuesday and wondered if a visit with Emma could be arranged? I have sent you a pm. Let me know. Thanks, David

Emma really enjoyed her visit from Kea's Crest. Holly and Emma came right up to meet the new people. Once Holly had determind these people were ok she moved off to eat. Emma was the star for the day. She tested these people, standing behind me when she was unsure then made up her mind they were ok. Emma loved the pets and kind words. Then she let herself go and gave her butt to be scratched. Her eyes were soft and happy. She is a star!

She is a star. Shy, sweet, and pretty. Those big eyelashes...who can resist? ; )

No mention of her big brown eyes? I must tell you, Emma does have her OTHER side too.

I think that was what she was trying to get me to scratch when she accidently stepped on me. : ) Perhaps she misunderstood the phrase to "turn the other cheek."
Emmas' fan club would like to congratulate Kokomo on his adoption. Good to see such a handsome boy get placed. Hurray!

Yay! ;D Truly the expanding family. Both girls are beautiful, sweeties, social, and happy. They have been getting some serious training here at Kea's Crest. It's only day two since they have arrived and we know youngsters need direction. This is why we have started them right away on a strict regimine. Their program begins with a major emphasis in "Nibbling and Leisure" with a minor in "Sun bathing, Back rolling, and Socializing." I feel the girls will excell as they have shown a natural aptitude for all of their chosen subjects. ;D They both love getting skritches on the neck. They are so friendly and always come up to the fence to say hi! It was a hard choice to narrow it down because there are so many beautiful SAFE horses that need homes. With all the horses that are left we know there will be many other happy farms that are lucky enough to adopt the rest. Thank you for all the kind words and thank you to everyone who volunteers at SAFE that makes these stories have happy endings.

You are lucky! My horse Chewy just finished his third year of Thankless and will be graduating Entitled Cum Laude.
Redmond is majoring in Sweetest Horse Ever while minoring in "Using poop to express yourself (aka - getting new hay on demand)."

Oliver is putting together a Precision Pooping team and hopes to make it to the Olympics one day. Deeds has already agreed to participate (his ability to poop into his grain feeder is astounding!) and if Redmond is interested in a tryout for the team, that can probably be arranged.

He is indeed interested but is concerned over his amatuer status.
