I am so proud of what we accomplished today.
It is an honor to work with such an incredible team of people. Everyone who worked on the show did an absolutely fabulous job, and I am just thrilled at how well we all worked together to make this the most successful SAFE show ever.
There are a lot of thank yous to be thanked and a lot of accolades to give out, but for right now, I think we all deserve a good night's sleep, knowing that we did our very best, and our very best was fantastic. ;D <--------- this is me. So proud of the SAFE team!! You guys are the best!!

GREAT show- incredible turn out and the weather did not seem to make anyone leave early! Except me of course LOL
Donida was an excellent venue, Bonnie got a cordless microphone WOO HOO and the addition of Dressage was awesome and fun to watch.
Great overall sportsmanship by the competitors and it is a testament to the group as a whole, that the one or 2 who were riding their horses inappropriately in the warm up ring(quickly addressed by Jaime and Bonnie) stood out like a sore thumb.
Great group of people, Lovely group of horses, and an overall well run smooth show!
Woo hoo way to go SAFE!

22 or something classes, 2 horses. I feel like I'm going to keel over.
Thank you to everyone yesterday! Especially to my impromptu Khramer holders and holders of Khramer ribbons! ;-)
His only suggestion would be to pick a sunnier day next year. He doesn't like being wet!
...off to a 20 mile + trail ride!

Since I got to see the event fas a participant this time, I really appreciated not just having a professionally-run show, but friends to laugh with and enjoy the day. The trails course was the most fun as we got to try our hand at lots of new obstacles - and it gave Willy a break from having all those other horses around. Pink fluttering ribbons are apparently a lot less unnerving than the sound of a Friesian coming up behind you!
Seeing the SAFE horses represent themselves so well was heartening too.
Personally, I didn't mind the misting weather at all - it was cool and comfortable for riding.
I did not take any pictures, as I had my hands full most of the time, so I only have a few of myself and Willy that my husband took. Anyone who has photos they would be willing to lend for the blog - whether of their horses, the busy arenas or the hardworking volunteer crew - let me know via pm or email.

I like the visions of Bonnie & her pink bike peddling around the grounds!
I know we're all exhausted but I bet we all have smiles on today...Happy Tired!
I took a few photos, I somehow managed to keep myself fairly busy most of the day. I'll post what few I have soon.

The show was an absolute success! The best part, by far, was hearing the SAFE horses announced as class winners (or at least placers) again and again. Great work to all involved! I hope everyone is getting some much needed rest today!

It was SO well organized, you could just tell there was a lot of heart behind this event. Seeing the SAFE and other rescue horses was heartwarming, especially ones I've only read about online.
Bonnie and the pink bike, Lynn the announcer, Jaime as runner, and the teddy bear on the trail course- it was a LOT of fun and a lot of laughs.
I missed Coconut, fell in love with Khramer, and just had a blast. Thanks to everyone who put this on, it was my second year there and I can't imagine missing this show. It's the most fun event of the year!

It was a fantastic show, and I am so glad that I was able to offer my meager scribing talents to help out! You can absolutely count on me again for next years show.
