Hi All,
So it's just under two weeks until the show so it's time for me to start requesting that folks bring snacks, drinks, ice, coolers, etc. :-)
If you'd like to bring something, let me know right away please.
It sounds like we may have a table to use, but we could probably use another.
We need:
Table Coolers Ice Coffee Thermoses Water Soda (maybe juice) Finger foods (please label all trays with your name) cups plates napkins
Did I miss anything? :-)

The cookshack will be open from 8am to 5pm, too. Cash Only. I think it would be good to keep this apart from the vendor area, that way no one thinks we are offering food to everyone. Maybe a table in the SAFE Horse Tack Stall?

I liked how they had set up tents next to the barn with chairs and all for people to relax. We could set up a couple tables and coolers and all that way.

I do agree that the food shouldn't be set up anywhere near the vendors. Is there space in the tack stall?
So...anybody up for bringing snacky things? :-)
Personally I'm going to make sure we have fruit and veggie trays for people to grab from.

We'll make room for this in a stall, not a problem!
The concession stand will be open for hot food so the biggest concern with the volunteer hospitality table is to have plenty of water available for the volunteers.
It would also be great if someone could bring Costco muffins for breakfast.
Speaking of Coscto, they've always been great about donating a small gift card for us to use to buy food for our event. Jet, are you the one who has set this up in the past? We don't need much -- just bottled water, soda, muffins, maybe some of those little bags of nuts, or chips?

We could set up a pop-up next to the show office and put a sign that says Volunteers! it's out of the vendor area but close to everything AND Electricity.
As for Costco...no, I do not have a contact there regarding donations. I know someone got Costco to donate a gift card a couple of years ago and then someone donated a giftcard to be used for the Open Barn last year so we could buy food.
Does anyone have a contact there? I kinda do...but it's in the diamond department and I think I've asked her before about donations (no, not for diamonds!) but she didn't really know either as I recall.

Being able to see things and electricity sounds better to me. It may depend on how many tents we end up with. If we have enough, I'd prefer to be outside and visible but if there aren't enough, I guess we'll have to be inside.
I'll swing by Costco in Woodinville tomorrow and see what I can get. Whole Foods in Redmond has also good about donating for events so I'll swing by there too. :-)

A pop up next to the office would be great and easier to monitor. Costco is always generous for local causes. Don't be afraid to ask for what you want.
I am planning on picking up another tent this weekend so we will more than likely have enough (I'm also borrowing my sister's 2 tents so that makes 3 from me) I can also bring plastic chairs. I also have extension cords but if anyone has heavy duty power strips that might be good to bring along as well.

I'm trying to find the tax id number for SAFE. If anybody has it, can you pm it to me right away?

Thank you everybody!
So, Safeway has donated $20 worth of goods. Fred Meyer and Costco will both be confirming with me tomorrow and both sound positive for $25 each. Top Foods will be letting me know the week before the show, and I need to stop back in and talk to the managers at QFC and Albertsons in Woodinville. I wasn't able to hit up Whole Foods yet.
(edited to add, Costco confirmed $25.00 gift card)

Okay, bumping this up to the top to remind people that the volunteer station needs a few things.
Does anybody have a spare cooler they can bring?
I need somebody close to bring ice.
Is anybody else bringing snack-like things?
I will have fruits and veggies to snack on through the day and plenty of water, soda, and fruit juices/teas.
