Postering for the SAFE show

Posters advertising the show need to be hung at tack shops and feed stores and I need a bunch of volunteers who can put them up. Posters can be downloaded here ( www.safehorses.org/news/show.html ) We have a color poster AND a black and white poster that can be printed on colored paper. Here's the color poster:



Here are the places we need postered, roughly divided by area. Please let me know if I have misjudged any of these, put down any that are out of business, or missed any.

When you ask if you can put up a poster, it's a great opportunity to talk about the show and ask if the business is interested in a sponsorship!!! So please have sponsor kits with you when you go, and please don't be shy!!! People WANT to help us!

Stoney Creek Outfitters has an events calendar on their website so I'll see about getting the show listed on their calendar. I will take a flier there this weekend too, and probably Front Porch feed store too. I want to buy grain for Jaime

Last year I posted fliers in the local vets' offices, too. A lot of people with horses have dogs and cats, too.

Stables would be a great place to put up fliers. This is the email text I sent to Stoney Creek asking to be added to their event calendar:

"Hello,
I am assisting in the coordination of advertising efforts for Monroe horse rescue Save A Forgotten Equine's 4th Annual Benefit Horse Show. I am hoping that you would be open to including our shows details on your events calender. This years show will be held at Donida Farm in Auburn on August 7th and will include special divisions for rescue and senior horses as well as western games and Dressage; last years show had over 100 exhibitors plus spectators and supporters and we are anticipating many more this year with our expanded class list.

I would like to bring a flier by the store on Saturday, if you have an area for advertisments, and leave entry forms when they become available, Below is a link to the website where you can learn more about SAFE and their commitment to rescue. Thank you for your time,

Especially Front Porch! We do a ton of business with them.

I can do The Gift Horse - I go there on a semi regular basis. I however have no way to print anything so some would need to be mailed to me. I can also do my barn - Lakeside Equestrian, give one to a friend for her barn, and I can check at my vet's office. I can also ask my leasor if her vet office (she works there) has a bulletin board.

Lyn - I will leave one for you at the farm on Saturday. I will also hang fliers at Front Porch and Stoney Creek Outfitters on Saturday.

I added tags to the bottom of the flyer with the website and show date so people can tear the tag off and have something to remember the info.
