I dont think we wore him out. We just kept cheering him on so he was like "am I winnning?!?.... well OK!!!" He's a great boy. I think Deeds being 16.2 hands just made him a bit bigger than what my wife wants. She watches me struggle as I climb on my 17.3 TB boy and so she has a horse in mind that requires a climb somewhat less ambitious.

I met Liz yesterday and introduced her to Deeds and he displayed his "horseness" about twice around the field. And then that was it... I let Libby out with him and they tore up the field and started grazing. You guys must have worn him out the other day! You know I totally thought I had posted to this thread about meeting him I guess the forum gremlins ate it lol. Like Amy said I got to go out and meet her and Deeds a couple days ago. I was almost hoping he was still feeling spunky and I could get some dramatic galloping Deeds shots ;D It ended up I got a lot of pictures of him eating. Back to his old self I guess! All in all he was a very sweet boy and it was fun to get to see him in person. Hopefully we can coordinate on a sunny day and get some nice riding shots next time (he looks SOOO cute all tacked up!). I havent downloaded the pictures yet but will hopefully have a few worth looking at tomorrow

I work with a local cat rescue down here in Los Angeles (even after I swore I was getting out of fostering...it's kitten season and I find myself unable to say no). Anyway, I swear that animals know the difference between a visator and a potential adopter...and they either get nervous or very outgoing. I have one young male cat that is super outgoing and bounces off the wall 24/7, but when someone came to see him he hid...littler stinker.
I bet Mr. Deeds knew he was on display and wanted to show everyone how happy he was and what a wonderful horse he would make for the right person. He's so smart and cute!!! I wish I could take him, but LA is too expensive for more than one horse!

Ok, finally got the photos of Deeds up online! Sorry, I'm a terrible procrastinator! The program that I usually use for uploading and basic editing decided to keep crashing, which didnt help either. Blah blah excuses excuses. Heres his gallery ;D lizstabbertphoto.smugmug.com/gallery/5207269_YhCtFEdited because I keep using smilies instead of punctuation...not good ;P

ETA: Libby looks gross! She needs a bath.

Hi there! How far out would you guys be willing to place Deeds? I live in Lynden, right up at the Canadian border. It takes about an hour and 45 minutes to drive here from Snohomish/ Woodinville (which is where i moved from). I remember drooling over this guy before we moved, I can't believe he's still waiting!

Great video Monica! He is a beauty and very sweet. Are the videos of Cedar and Deeds on Dreamhorse or any of the other places where our horses are advertised?
If he is still here with SAFE he MUST be at the show.

Kate Hi Kate, Looks like everyone from the Board of Directors is off doing something today - you could send a private message to Jaybird to make sure she sees your question right away as soon as she comes back. As far as I know, there is no limit to where these horses can go in the state of Washington as long as it is an approved facility/adoptor. You could in the meantime, start filling out an adoption application so you can put it in for consideration as soon as possible. And welcome to the board!
