I don't know how the twisted road worked for this Meera, but I have confirmed that the two girls are who I thought they were. I know more about them than I care to.
However, as much I would love to most names and cell phone numbers here, I can't because I want Sno. Co to do their investigation and get the other horses out. They are really dropping the ball on this one if they don't. All the horses that are left WILL die. It's just a matter of time. There's one horse missing from the pictures that I know should be around that's not one of the dead ones.
This case is a lot like the Elledge case, only the stallions are loose with the mares, unregistered, and the horses are also physically abused. The counties gave Elledge warnings which just gave her time to kill and breed some more horses. This will happen with the remaining horses as well if they aren't seized immediately.
I know Jamie has and is doing all that she can. I contacted Sno County and the Officer in charge of the case. Any more ideas anyone?

She did a great job with the Dean Solomon story and she will try to help animals where she can. She gets a ton of calls to cover stories like this but this would be a good one as it really needs to be traced back to the SOURCE, Fran Farmer. This is not just a typical neglect/abuse - it's about the whole problem of overbreeding and what happens to those horses down the road.

I think each girl wanted to keep a horse, which is of course a VERY bad idea. They already starved 2 to death......

According to Animal Control, they are willing to surrender all of the remaining horses, so I am hoping they changed their mind about that. Jessica only has the one mare left and she has already asked us to take her or help find her a home (she's the one I posted on the other forum and she's also one of the dreamhorse ads above). I have not heard from Noel directly but they are supposed to send me info on the remaining horses that need homes.

I hope that the entire surrender will be the case, although I think both girls need to experience some kind of legal consequence. Knowing both girls, I am not surprised that Jessica is cooperating and I'm glad she'd making that decision. However, it is far more critical that Noel has no horses for more reasons than I care to list.

Star has a new name, given to her by her foster mom:
"Also, I came up with a name; after many friends had given suggestions like Hope, Faith etc. the obvious, I started thinking about her name ,Star, which led me to this; she wished upon her star and her dream of rescue came true. Thus, I think her name should be ’ Wishes.’"
Wishes was seen by Dr. Evergreen who took blood and a fecal sample and palpated her. Her uterus is distended and full of fluid so she is probably pregnant, but she couldn't feel a fetus so she will have to ultrasound her to confirm. She's doing really well however!

Good news! Wishes was ultrasounded and she is NOT pregnant! She does have a lot of fluid in her uterus but she is not pregnant, thank goodness! She's been wormed and had her first trim and is doing great!

I've emailed them asking for updates and they are not responding to me. I was rather hoping they had found homes for all of them.

Update on Wishes: Wishes(aka-Star) was also wormed and had icky wormy manure that resembled spaghetti(I hope you are not eating right now.) She is an amazing mare, so sweet, so docile and so appreciative. She will be gorgeous when she bodies out and get a decent hair coat-she has a beautiful face. She is still pretty mellow in her turn out and loves to eat her beet pulp and senior feed. Photos:
