Oh well that's not to bad. I'll have to look into it and get back to you. But I'm definitely interested in the Western Show Sponsor position. fantastic! I'd be willing to donate layout/design for your banner if you decide to do this.

I had another thought regarding show sponsor: Fencing! I just saw an ad for Viking Fence vikingfence.biz/Does anyone else have a favorite fence company and/or contact? Should we be contacting these companies or wait until a plan is hatched? We can certainly send them a sponsorship form can't we!? You know me...I'll write to pretty much anyone!

I like Electrobraid fencing. Their customer service was excellent--very nice and helpful.

That's awesome barberperformance, about the Western Sponsorship! Fencing companies are excellent sources as well. So are trailer companies. How about Kiperts?? Anyone have a relationship with anyone from there?

I'm really going to try to. I have testing and stuff to get done also. And things that were already set aside for the budget and lately I've been bad at sticking to the budget. Someone mentioned doing half a class, I wouldn't mind doing half a class this year. How soon are you going to be asking for sponsors next year. I'm REALLY bad and remembering these things... I really am. I had another thought regarding show sponsor: Fencing! I just saw an ad for Viking Fence vikingfence.biz/Does anyone else have a favorite fence company and/or contact? I think we can go ahead and send a sponsorship form right away. We only have a couple of months until the show and getting companies to commit sometimes takes a bit. When sending out requests, it is always a good idea to follow up with a phone call, and provide as much info as you can with your initial request, including SAFE's website address.
That follow up call can really make the difference!

Anyone have a relationship with anyone from there? Yes, I know the people at Kipert's pretty well. I was in Kipert's yesterday, I forgot the sponsorship info, but I talked to the girl that was working last night about it (I forgot her name, but she's one of the younger girls there) and she said they might be interested. I have a good relationship with Jen and Julie there, so I'm hoping one of them is working today. I'm heading over there on my lunch. Craig is the owner and the person that makes those types of decisions, so I'm going to leave the info with Jen or Julie to give to him if he's not there. UPDATE: OK, I talked to Jen and she's going to give the packet and the letter I wrote to Craig.

We could really use some show posters. Maybe something 8 1/2 x 11 or 11 x 14 that will grab attention and can be posted at feed stores and local arenas. Does anyone have any good design skills (Leah? Bonnie?) to put one together in the next week or so? I would love to have some mailed to me. I think this show will be real popular with the people in the area of Frontier Park!

I sent a email to Farnam to see if we could get a donation of their Horses Make A Difference Photo Frame and Horse Health folders. I also asked if they would like to sponsor a class.
