I had such a great time and am thrilled with my new pictures! There was some really beautiful art there, I wish I could have gotten it all, but alas, I am limited on wall space and budget. Definitely looking forward to next year!

Big thanks to everybody that came, donated, purchased, and volunteered their time to make this happen. So many artists selflessly gave work that they painstakingly put their time, hearts, and souls into knowing that the money that came in would go to benefit SAFE and that's amazing. I think we owe those artists a large debt of gratitude first and foremost. We were all able to not only benefit SAFE, but many of us were able to purchase incredible items that we may not have been able to afford otherwise. I hope all of the artists understand that those pieces will be truly cherished by the people that bought them. Next time Sheridan, I won't do down so easily. You got very, very lucky. We were thrilled for the opportunity to host this wonderful event and would be happy to do it again next year. The staff that came and helped (Jeremy, Kansas, Valerie) gave their personal time to set up and to help at the event. We owe the three of them a huge "Thank You!" also. I couldn't do it without my support staff (aka; minions), especially since it was Jeremy's store. (If I could convince somebody to name horses after the three of them then they'd definitely help next year too. heh) I also want to thank a couple people that none of you saw or knew about. The first is our marketing dept, Christine. She took time out of her very busy schedule in the midst of her wedding to create the signage and email for the event. The other is the owner of our company, Adrian Hanauer. Without his support, we wouldn't be able to host these events in our stores. Go see a Sounders game and support his other business. And then the SAFE crew of course. Jet, Maeve, Lynn, Bonnie, Monica.....I don't know who I'm forgetting, but to everybody that let me boss them around in those last final hours, Thank You. Hope to see many more of you there next year. Start keeping an eye out for artists and we'll start stashing frames again.

I'd like to add my congratulations and thank yous to the mix here. This year's HeART of the Horse was an amazing and successful event, thanks to a number of people who put their all into making it happen.
First, a big thank you to Beth/beta and the Museum Quality Framing crew(s). From what I understand, they were responsible for the lovely and professional setup that you see in Jet's photos. They donated not only the use of their space, but a lot of framing/reframing and framing certificates for the event too. Beth, Jeremy, Kansas and Valerie all worked very hard before, during and after the event, and were cheerful and enthusiastic throughout. And thanks to Christine for the lovely poster design.
Our curator and her lovely assistant - Maeve and Jet - another incredible wonderful job done to the both of you! HeART was dreamed up by these two and they have worked so hard to make it happen. The art that was donated to this event was truly remarkable, and if you missed out on coming to this show, then you missed out on not only getting to buy some lovely art, but the chance to enjoy it as well. I'd also like to thank the ever wonderful Lynn Mazer for making another SAFE event run smoothly and happily...we are so lucky to have you on our team.
It was a lot of fun to see all the familiar faces at this event, so a big thank you to everyone who braved the bad weather and came out to support this endeavor!!
