I would like all of you SAFE supporters and especially the volunteers and Board of Directors to see what was said about SAFE on another board...the Northwest Horse Forum....after one of their members came to visit Jaime's Farm to meet a horse for potential adoption...I'd like to add that the individual initially was skeptical about rescue horses in general....
"...The SAFE horses were some of the most beautiful, well-cared for horses I've seen (we've seen a lot of horses in the past year!) and the facility was clean and nice. They are not what you think when you hear "rescue"-- they were well cared for and looked like someone's beloved horse; shiny, well-fed with feet done etc. I would recommend that anyone looking for a horse take a look. I don't have a lot of flexibility in my horse-choosing criteria (because of kids and our level of experience), but for people who do, there are some cuuuuuute horses at SAFE."
...I hear they're coming back for a 2nd visit with the horse they're interested in!!
I hope each and every one of you is darn proud ;D of yourselves for choosing to support SAFE and the efforts "To make a difference in the lives of forgotten and at-risk equines through direct intervention, education, and community outreach; to stress the importance of owner responsibility; and to operate at the highest level of integrity, honesty, professionalism, and compassion." (our mission statement, in case you were wondering)
This organization (and message board) is FILLED with amazing people who care about horses with every fiber of their being. It shows in ways you don't expect and this is how outsiders see your work....GOOD JOB everyone
Keep it up!!!!
