Chelsea, I am so terribly sorry that you did not have longer with Toad. He had a wonderful two years with you that he wouldn't have had anywhere else. And in the end you loved him enough to let him go. Hugs, Pam

Chelsea...
I drive by Liz's place everyday. When Toad was there I would always looked for him. They made a handsome pair. I use to think how relaxed they both looked. It was my daily calmer to drive past them.
Please accept my condolences..
Come back when your ready. My Email is always open. Our prayers are with you.

So sorry to hear the COPD finally got the best of that wonderful guy. I was so happy that you stepped up and wanted to take him, he had many fans at the barn that wanted him, but you were obviously the best possible home for him. His circumstances were just so strange, I still wonder what happened to his original owner. RIP old guy, you were a grand one.

Is this a photo of Cat trail riding I underestimated how special Toad was! Bwahahahahahaha! You got that right. Toad was the ONLY horse I actually enjoyed trail riding on. You just never had to worry that he would do a bad thing. He didn't have a bad thing in him. You could totally relax and enjoy.

Thank you all.
My heart is broken, but the pictures from all of the people that had contact with him and knew what a wonderful gentle giant he was make me smile.
Tears are running down my face just like at my original post. They have been pretty much all day.
My farrier was here to work on another horse and she and my vet and his assistant were all as emotional as I was. I loved this big old lug and today wrenched my soul pretty hard. My vet's assistant was crying as hard as I was.
Godspeed Silly Old Toadlet....you left hoofprints on a lot of hearts.....

I am so terribly sorry for your loss. A horse that touches us the way this guy touched your heart is a rare thing and makes it hurt just a little more when we have to let go. My deepest wishes for your heart to heal quickly.
