Well looking at that video, it would appear there is some very good training in her. She responds very well to both voice commands and contact on her mouth. That's great since so many of the horses were never touched and just used as baby machines.

Looks to me like Bradley will have no trouble getting her ready for walk-trot by the SAFE show. Tell him he has a summer job!

She is go good with the kids. Next time he rides I will use the small saddle and I might put a snaffle on but she did ok with the rope halter. I also had her feet done last Friday and she was wonderful in all the blowing wind and then we had to chase the school bus down the street. My son hardly ever rides the bus but did on Friday I had Summer and was running up the driveway and horse shoer was yelling at the bus and it stopped at the neighbors. Summer was so excited but took it all in and was fine. My horse shoer just loves her and was very thankful he was working on Summer and not Figi!

She looks so beautiful Brenda! Good to see her all shedded out and lovely! Hopefully now that she is on medication she won't get furry again in August like she did last year!

We need to work on trailer loading! She did not like my ramp and straight load. Its warmblood size so it nice and big but Summer wanted nothing to do with getting in it. My vet said she just likes it hear and does not want to leave

Hi guys, thought I'd stick my head out and say hi - I'm Summer's pending adopter. I found SAFE's ad while looking for a free companion horse for my Mustang I just adopted - well, a month ago. He's three and six months off the range, and I didn't want him to be alone since he grew up in a herd. Plus a calm older horse will be good to help him get used to people, and for friends to ride on occasion. Summer is an absolute sweetheart and I'm glad I found her. Brenda is doing my site check Sunday; fingers crossed! I would like to bring her to the SAFE show, but don't have a trailer. Is there anyone from Kitsap who's going and has space in their trailer?
