WOW they DO look alike! If Drama wasn't a hand smaller, I'd say it was the same horse! Today Ms. Drama Llama learned about the fly mask and other things that may have to go over her ears (sheets. grooming halters, bridles, etc). Horses She is super smart and a really fast learner. She will now stand nicely for fly mask application/removal. Like she's done it her whole life. I strongly suspect that she's smart enough that she's had some people very buffaloed in the past. Her leading is already 100% better. She's very nice and respectful now. Amazing what setting some boundaries will do!

She is so gorgeous. She looks like a bigger girl version of my mini.

Yes, we took Drama to a POA show on Saturday and she passed her inspection and is officially going to be a registered pony now! I took her in halter just to give her a bit of show ring experience although I felt silly as she was unclipped (pony does not yet clip) nor did we have a noseband. But hey, when there's one in the class, it's not hard to win! It's pretty funny, Winterlakesfarm has rescued a POA also so I'm thinking I'm going to have this new little career at the POA shows, at least until these two are placed...

Wow, I haven't updated anything on here in quite a while! Been too busy with the pony, I guess...
Okay, so I LOVE this pony! She's so spunky and bratty, but she gets away with so much more than the big horses do because she's so adorable!
She's now w/t/c under saddle, started over fences... still confused a bit about leads but getting more consistent.
She is SUCH a cute jumper! And she LOVES it! When we were introducing her to free-jumping, she actually continued circling around and jumping the fence a few more times before she realized that I wanted her to stop. And her motto seems to be "go big or go home," and she is completely disinterested in jumping the small little 6" crossrail... She will only put effort (a small amout of it) into verticals 18" or higher. The small jumps just aren't challenging enough for her. She even makes the big ones look easy.
I found her a petite, talented rider who will be riding/showing her for me this spring. I'm just too big for her. She's tiny. I've ridden ponies her same height before, but she's so dainty and fine-boned I just don't feel comfortable riding her. But her new rider loves her to pieces.
My goal is to start getting some show miles on her soon.... She is just too nice to let sit. She screams "show me!"
