Hi everyone!!! So, I have been doing some research and thought this would be a cool way to raise some money for SAFE. The link below is for a bumper magnet, and they are a bit on the pricey side, but I was thinking of something like this as a bumper sticker, as it would be the least expensive and financially SAFE would benefit more. Would anyone be interested in doing something like this or have any ideas or thoughts they can share with me? I would love to hear any feedback that you have. I was also thinking of getting enough to take to my local feed/tack/vet clinics with a little brochure on what SAFE is about and what they do, and help get the word out that way. Any help would be greatly appreciate, but I would be more than happy to work on getting the brochure formatted, etc. to best represent SAFE. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks! I like this idea!
We do need a brochure also - I know there are lots of people that really don't realize how great the need is for rescues and don't realize what great animals are out their in need. Education is key to getting people involved!

Great! I totally agree-the more opportunity there is to educate people the better, as pre-rescue, I had NO idea about any of this, and was absolutely shocked  when I learned about feedlots, etc.  I have a company that is working on a proof for the bumper or magnet sticker, whichever way we decide to go...I am trying to get pricing for both as well and see what makes the most sense. I would love to gather some information from everyone that has ideas on what to put into the brochure. Any thoughts on that??? Thanks! |

I am having a fundraiser banquet/auction for SAFE and some fostered OTTB's.
I will need auction items (art, jewelry, jackets, wine glasses, tack, supplements, gift certificates, photography packages........be creative and fun!) I would like horse items and general purpose items so that we can have a broad range of people attend.Items will be auctioned to highest bidder after dinner.
If you would like to donate an item or service.......please pm me. Items must be new.
I also need business sponsors for dinner tables. Each dinner table can be sponsored for 100 dollars. Ten tables are available. Sponsor names will be prominently displayed on table, with business cards and brochures.
Sponsors can also "host" a wine basket for 25 dollars. This puts their business card on a wine basket package which will then be sold at the banquet.
A karaoke contest (at the end of the evening) can be sponsored by one or split between two vendors for 350 dollars.
More information to come.........This will be held in late October in Port Orchard. It is by invitation. All invitations will list sponsors and contain a list of auction items.
I aleady have a few auction items.......such as :
Scuba Diving Lesson package
tool bag filled with hand tools
veterinary tooth float
I have two tables currently sponsored too.
I expect to have more items today...(just started yesterday!)
It is expected to have this banquet on October 28th, so it may also be a Halloween costume theme.
Should be fun!

Slewgirl - what a wonderful event! We are so excited that you are doing this. I'll look around and see if I can get any auction items. For services, do you want the businesses only from the penninsula south sound area?

yes, services will need to be restricted to the Peninsula area, as I expect most attendees will come from this area.

We own a small sign shop and can make this kind of stuff if you guys want I could probably see if the hubby would giive you a goooooooood price. We are not rich enough to do it for free , but if it is somthing I can handle on my own time he might let me do it for cost or just above. Just a thought no hard feelings if you have it worked out with some one else to already make them.

I check into how much I could do them for and here it is Magnetic Ribbons
7 inch high ribbon one color 125 pieces = $2.00 each 1,000 pieces = .75 cents each
5 1/4 inch high ribbon one color 125 pieces = $1.60 each 1,000 pieces = .50 cents each
This is at COST for me so they would have to be payed for when orderd and shipping is not included in the price.
If you want a price on bumper stickers let me know and I will see how much I can do them for.

Mininum order would be a 125, so YES we can do 250-300 no problem. I would have to know the size, color, wording and exact number to order and of course it would have to be payed for when placed because Im only charging what it will cost me. Sorry I dont have the $ to front the order. I would in a hart beat for the horses!
