Costco will donate a $25.00 gift card, ready two weeks before the show.
Um, does anyone else have suggestions for the concessions?

Bummer, I was hoping they would throw in some muffins, candy, pop, etc.
Any ideas other than funding it ourselves?

WhiteWolf was kind enough to send me a form letter asking for food donations. I was going to approach Top Foods in Woodinville this week. I can send the letter to anyone who wishes to approach their local grocery store and see if we can piecemeal it together... ;D
The OTHER possibility is to ask folks to bake up some cookies and such and donate those ( rice crispy treats, chocolate chip cookies, cupcakes, horse treats, etc)
If there is a will there is a way, if there is no will there is no way.

I also have the letter still. Even if it isn't food, I can change the letter around for any kind of donations.

DeJone Sawdust and Shavings is sending us a Gift Certificate instead of sponsoring a show.
Bonnie, did you get anything from Emerald Downs yet?

OK everyone, I'm on a letter writing roll here. I'm actually successfully getting things donated with these letters! C'mon...give me your best shot. I'll draft the letter and email it to you. You just tell me who you're asking for donations and what you're asking for and I'll draft your letter. If you want to keep it private who you're asking for donations/sponsorship my lips are sealed!

Do we need more canopies? We have an "easy up" that could probably be loaned for that day too (barring needing it for a soccer tourney that weekend).
Oh, another question- what about fold out chairs for the volunteers? It seems like having a few kicking aroudn that day might be a good idea.

Hey Laurie:
Could you give me an update on the prize drawing please?? What are the items that will be included and are you still considering more than one drawing?
I know that Valerie has donated a western saddle and an english saddle.
I think that the Moneigh that Beth is donating should be auctioned off separately, possibly via eBay to raise more money. Those are pretty special, and we could potentially raise more with an auction than using it as a prize, unless it was its own drawing.
We are going to need to use most of the donated items as prizes for the show, so I'd love to see a list of what's been donated so far.
thanks!
what I know about so far:
- grooming kit from Oster - gift bag from Grand Meadows - gift certificate for 4 yards of mulch from DeJongs - Emerald Downs gift certificate
Amy and Leah, what is the latest from Gift Horse and Olsens?
thanks!!

Vineyard Salon in Woodinville will be donating a basket of of items like they did for the last show. (Hair products/make-up/jewelry) I also have another brand new western saddle (no silver) that was donated at the same time as some furniture for the garage sale. Up to you how you want to use.

Olsons has not gotten back to me, but apparently they review donations on a quarterly basis so they may just have not gotten to it yet. I have been really busy this week between applying for a job (you know how it goes - revamping the whole portfolio!!), and then Lady re-popped a splint on her hind leg so I have been tending to her...BUT I have been meaning to go in there and will do it ASAP.
I can donate some prints - flowers or horses - or maybe both! Framed they should bring in some money.
