It was fun! My pictures suck because I just had my camera phone, but Juliane will have better ones. This is a good look on Jaybird, she should dress like this more often. She looked hot! Slew with Little Jack, who was used throughout the evening as a prop to tell the story of Jack's rescue from the land of mud and idiots. Just some of the great auction items! We had a lot of english riders wearing western attire for the first time. Myhorsefaith was jingling every time she moved with her chaps and spurs on!

Next time we need name tags! It was a lot of fun. The big auction item of the night was the Cam Reeves 30 days of training with board and a tooth floot went for $800. and the 2 ton of hay got over 500. It was great fun and the food was GREAT!

Yes indeedy! The Auction is over, and it was a rousing success! We had a fun bunch of people in attendance -- most of whom were good sports and wore their best wild west duds! The food was great and the auction itself was a lot of fun, with several hotly contested items, some screaming good deals, and newly acquired treasures.
A big big thank you to Rosemary for putting this together again this year. This event is something that Rosemary has done for SAFE for the past two years, and she has brought SAFE a ton of support by spreading the word to her colleagues and friends. She is an amazing asset to SAFE, as both a fundraiser and as a foster, and we are very very lucky to have her on our team.
Special thanks goes to Jaime and Mike, who were instrumental in making this evening a success. Their help with setting up the auction and with taking payments at the end made order out of chaos...and as usual, they had no time to prepare for what they'd be asked to do, but they handled every challenge thrown at them. Thanks also to Juliane and Allyson for helping set up decorations, and for being the best dressed pair of cowgirls that Trophy Lake Golf Course has even seen.
Much thanks goes to all those who donated for the auction because we had a ton of really great stuff to offer:
Andrea Lucianna Beth Anderson-Ness Bonnie Hammond Cam and Carrie Reeves Drea Bowen and Barb Apple Emerald Downs Emily of the Gallery of Hair Design Emily Wilmot Equine Essentials Dr Hannah Evergreen and Evergreen Holistic Veterinary Joe Lietz Leah Anderson Lisa Dobbin Liz Clark Rhythm Beads Liz Stabbert Photography Meghan Markham Melanie Davis Monica Brethorn Nina of Cats by Nina Page Gunter Peri Devlieg Rachel of The Gallery of Hair Design Rosemary Collins Roberta Beery Dr. Bo Weeks and Rocky Bay Equine Ray Boink and South Sound Electric Silver Bullet Transport Stroh's The Equine Shoppe Valerie Wood
We're already thinking about next year's event, so be on the lookout for items that you can donate and businesses you can approach to ask for help. Personally I found that the businesses I dealt with were more than happy to pitch in to support SAFE, so seriously, don't be afraid to ask!!

Just want to add a big big thank you to Ron House who purchased a blanket at the auction for Jack! It fit him well, and he is all warm and snuggly tonight. Also want to thank Julie Shriner and Carrie Reeves who threw in a little extra money to help with Jack's expenses.

Well........ a HUGE thank you to Bonnie!
I could not have pulled this off without her this year. I was under the weather, wondering if I could even do it and voila......Bonnie stepped up.
Bonnie, as I have said..........YOU ROCK! thanks for all the help.

Thank you to both of you, and all the donators, and attendees, and especially Allison (shekaberry) who took care of my herd so Mike and I could attend! And for Bonnie for putting us up again and letting me spend time with Mr. Honeycutt.
