Looks like she especially liked the butt-rub (techical term ;D) - look at her cute tongue!

Her favorite itchy spot is the butt around the base of her tail. The best spot she liked my friend working on was probably her whole neck, though.

I got to meet Buena yesterday at an event in Enumclaw. Having kept my eyes on her progress since back in the cber days it was easy to instantly recognize her with that pretty white nose! What a pretty girl.
From reading this thread, looks like I just missed meeting you at Burke Lake this spring. Some friends and I camp and ride there for about 4 days in mid April every year. We were there the week before you this year.
Great job with this girl! :-)

Buena was SUCH a good girl at the show! She was so excited and a horse FULL of personality. Liz, you are so lucky to have found her...or is it that Buena's lucky to have found you? ;D

Buena is a STAR!!! She worked so hard for Liz, and did pretty much everything Liz asked of her except the bribe your horse...LOL...she thought it would be much more fun to run around and show everyone how pretty she is and make sure that everyone at the end of the arena knew it, too! ;D What a pretty, pretty girl...

I told Liz that she is feeding Buena too well - Buena does not remember that she was ever a rescue horse. She wanted to go visit with the people on the rail instead of chase food - she figured, why chase food? It shows up regularly without making that kind of effort!

Thanks guys. I am pretty lucky. She is one of those horses that wants to please pretty much ALL of the time. Yesterday I turned her out when we got home. After I grabbed a much-needed shower and vegged on the couch for a bit I went out to check on my girls. Ariel was laying down and I went over and rubbed on her a bit. Buena came over and nuzzled me on the head. She got a few minutes of scratches before I came back in the house and went to bed. One thing Buena has never been is starved. Even when she was at the lot she was in good flesh! And I don't hand feed or bribe, so I had a feeling that class was going to be a bust anyway. At least she didn't take to displaying aggressive behavior that a couple of the other class participants did! It just goes to show you that I didn't really have my NH hooking on skills working very well for me! Guess I need to work on that, and MUCH more!

That is true, at least she is not one of the ones I had to run for my life from, LOL! That always happens with that class though. Most horses are good but some of them just go OMG I'm FREE. I wonder if they get any turnout at home or if they have the kind of owners who do not believe in turning out their show horses?
