Bam sounds like a sweet guy. I am happy he is coming home to be a big, happy pasture pet! You have done wonders for him.

Bam is still not home, Trainer got busy will be home by this weekend. Eric made his corral even bigger so he can be more comfortable. Ali yes this is the same guy Will he does great work, I just don't think anyone can change this big ole guy. Eric will never give up the battle thou. He will not be saddled again it is to tramatic for him. Last time in the round pen he did the crow hop buck and his feet could almost clear the round pen and its 6 ft tall, very scary to see and to think they have been on him. He has regressed back to what he was for the saddle which is very sad but it happens. He is a magnificent looking horse and will get all the carrots he can eat. Wish us luck with him I think we need it.

quick update. Bam is home, he is alittle bit standoffish to halter but doing better every day. He will not be a riding horse ever but sure is a cutie, will try and get some new pics of him. He whinnies to us everytime we step outside which is a great feeling with what this poor horse has been thru and we love him.

I live here by the feedlot and had seen Bam on the website. I am so glad he found a home where someone will love him forever! I, myself, am hoping to adopt from there soon...it is so sad to drive on the freeway (where you pass the feedlot) and see all those "unwanted & abandoned" horses out there. My heart sinks everytime I think of someone bringing a horse there. How could they? I give my Magic (23 yr old Arab gelding) a big Ol' Kiss when I get home! Congrats on your new buddy!

I am happy to have saved him. We had our farrier out and this was his first trimming by farrier and not trainer. Believe me he was the best of the 4. He is the first to whinny when we come out and truely wants to be our friend. He is mistrusting of other humans but not surprised by the life he once had and will never have again. I just wish my husband could ride him but he is much to dangerous and way too big. He is happy eating and munching his carrots and we love him.
