What an incredible difference! I too have followed her from the beginning and I never in a million years expected to see this much progress with those feet! Cheers to all of you~! What a great job! a

She has a sweet disposition, too. Another Trey in the making!

Lexi and Heidi are sharing a pasture and I went in to hang out with them yesterday. I brought a brush with me and Lexi came over to see what I was up to. I held the brush out for her to smell and she started rubbing her nose on it and she let me brush her entire body, just standing there like a statue! It was sweet because when I finished brushing her and started to walk away, she turns around and follows me all over. She is such a cutie!

I tied Lexi to my tie post and I flagged her a bit and she did really well. I REALLY like this little horse's mind. It's just so sad that her feet are a mess. She also didn't grind her teeth when I worked her with the flag while she is tied to the post, which is a slight improvement. I most likely will look into saddling Lexi next week sometime when I haul her to a facility with a round pen that has better footing. Probably be Tuesday or Thursday. Lexi earlier this afternoon:

What a darling horse. She's beautiful. I'm excited that Damien is getting bigger and will soon be a good size for a pony. He loves the horseys at the barn! And she's such a great size. I wonder if she'll end up being a handful under saddle?

I don't think she'll be a handful, but she may have her moments in the early stages. I am excited to get on with working with her more now that my cold has subsided! I hopefully should have more to report in the coming week(s).

Well, I'm excited to hear more about her. Maybe by the time she's ready to get out and go, Damien will be all ready for a pony of his own. =o)

Lexi and Buena on Saturday: If they had their way, they would be joined at the hip/shoulder. I think they have been mutually grooming each other over the single strand of hot wire (yes, it's on, well 90% of the time), but I have yet to catch it in person or with my camera in hand.

Hey, Liz, we haven't heard much about Lexi lately. How's she doing?

Oh Liz, I am so jealous. Not about the horses getting out and running you around, LOL, but about your new tractor. My husband would probably trade me in for one of those.

Lexi has temporarily been moved to a boarding facility near me for one month. She will return here on or around January 15th. She's at a great little place and is now friends with a pony, a llama and another horse. Lexi in the paddock for some get acquainted time.

Lexi is now being fostered where she spent the past month being boarded. Her new foster family has become quite attached to her, as have the pony and the gelding. It worked out best to have her stay since the mud (well frozen ground at the moment) at my place wasn't ideal. I will be keeping close tabs on Lexi since she is only minutes away from me.
