Hi all. I was just wondering if there are any new photos of Sinatra to be had? I first became acquainted with SAFE because I kept coming back here and looking at Sinatra. I have something of an obsession about this particular horse He is so cute, and the transformation he's gone through from the time SAFE acquired him to this last Summer is absolutely amazing!

Hi there! Sinatra was moved to Jaybird's in Silverdale with Lola a month or so ago. He's really filthy in the winter with his white coat so I imagine he's not too photogenic at the moment, but I am sure that Bonnie can give you an update on how he's doing!

I love this horse. I'm new to this site as of today, but would love to adopt Sinatra. I won't be ready to adopt for about 8 months or so. I'll keep my eyes on all the SAFE horses. I live on Orcas Island and have 10 acres and tons of love for the horse who comes home with me!

Welcome to the Board mommak. You'll find some really nice horses here, and an awesome group of people.

Here's a recent photo of Sinatra in which he looks fairly presentable*. Winter just is not his season. But the rain never dampens his friendly, happy outlook. ;D * Jenny doesn't look half bad either. Do you love her jacket?

Hard to believe he'll be 3 this year. He is a good example of a slow-maturing horse as he still looks like a baby (to me, anyway). Do you think he will be started at 4 since he is still fairly immature?

Do you think he will be started at 4 since he is still fairly immature? Do "park-type" horses develop slowly, like Warmbloods and Drafts? Or do they develop more quickly like QHs and Paints? I'd have to agree, he still looks like a baby... a cute one!

I think they are probably on the faster side - and all the other babies shot up normally but little Sinatra, I just think he's going to be small, probably pony-sized.

Emma, Sinatra's half sister, has kept that baby faced look and body type even though she has grown to 15.3hh. Duchess, another half sister, matured quickly. Just no telling how these kids will develop. What I remember from Sinatra is his great personality. He always came across as a thoughtful and polite boy even as a youngster... very much like Duchess. If that indeed continues to be true he will be a keeper!

I agree he still looks like a baby, but that's obviously because he's happy and content. I would take him in a NY minute - dirt, long hair and all!

Sinatra's back in Monroe with me. He's adorable as ever, doesn't look like he's grown a lot, I think he's going to be a pony.

He's finally starting to look a little more put together and a little less like he was assembeled from spare parts.

Sinatra got his first dental float on Saturday in anticipation of him going into training next weekend. We were a little concerned because his teeth were doing some really weird things - for a while there it looked like he had two rows of teeth in front. I was worried he was going to need some extractions, but fortunately none were necessary. His permanent teeth, rather than coming in behind the baby teeth, came in in front of them on his bottom teeth. The baby teeth did finally fall out on their own but his bottom permanent teeth still sort of overlap the baby teeth next to them, which looks kind of strange but should self correct as his 3 and 4 year incisors come in. His float was fairly routine with just a few sharp points to smooth out, and he does not have any wolf teeth yet (and may not get them). He got his shots too and he is ready to start his next adventure on becoming a productive equine citizen!
