He is. Beth (Pocket's adopter and Dobbin's foster mom) offered to foster Bandit for us so that he could be reunited with Pockets. They had hoped to adopt Bandit, but Dr. Hannah does not feel that Bandit is suitable for anything more than light riding, and they need at least one horse their boys can actually ride as they grow up. I will post more about the vet report when I have had a chance to speak to Hannah. I know that Bandit had a severe case of rainrot when Beth picked him up and that was making his back very ouchy. That is clearing up however. He also has a club foot on his left front and had some soreness in the right front, and also appears to have been foundered at some point.

Wow, Bandit looks like a comfy bareback ride. Like a recliner! He looks great. Did he an Pockets recognize each other?

Bandit is in a pasture/paddock by himself and there is an apple tree that partly overhangs into his space. He is so funny because he willl eat grass than have an apple, he is even going so far as to eat them sparingly he limits himself to one or two a day. I was worried i would have to move him again if he ate too many but he is keeping on his diet very nicely and only rewards himself occasionally. I need to get a pic of him doing it, it is so cute i will try to do so and post soon.

Bandit has been hanging out at his foster home in Redmond for the past month, but is looking for a move this weekend. He isn't playing totally nice with the other horses they have. Just during feeding time, but his other pasture mates are elderly and it makes it easy for him to play boss. Other than that, he is happy and healthy and was enjoying grazing down the long grass last time I got to check on him. He still is looking for his happy home with someone who might want to do gentle trail riding or have a horse that really likes the human touch.

Mr Bandit moved to a perfect boarding facility for him on Sunday in the dreary slush. This was the very first time I had met him and I was so very impressed with him. When my friend and I went out to get him, he came running on his own accord up to the barn to great us. He is a friendly and alter guy with great personality. There was an issue with locating the keys to the gate out of the pasture he had been in, so I had to lead him through a side gate, up 4 patio stairs, through a small brick walkway, under an arbor and out to the driveway. He didn't bat an eye. He only took a few minutes of looking at the trailer before he loaded right in. His new place has beautiful Egyptian Arabians at it. And you know Arabs (I can say that since I have one! ), they came running up to the fence calling and whirling about to see who the new horse was. Bandit looked at them and called once but never challenged my authority on the lead. I walked him around his pasture in the slippery snow, he was totally sure footed and calm with the entire ordeal. Walked him up to his run-in where he sniffed noses with the geldings next to him and then dove into the hay they had out. He was munching happily when I left him. Before I headed out, I called out "Bye Bandit", and this horse that had never met me before left his food and came out to see me before I walked away. He is precious. I'll put some photos up whenever I can find my doodad I need to download the pictures.
