Here's my list (so far) of Poop Troop volunteers for the SAFE Benefit Horse Show 2009:
Natalia Betsy and ??
If we get enough folks I think we'll be able to do it in shifts so that no one is stuck doing it all day.
We'll also need a couple of wheel barrows....do we know if there are any at the site we can use or should we arrange to bring some?

I wouldn't mind being part of the poop troop, but I'll need a wheel borrow. Maybe we could wear special tee shirts so we look cute while we're picking up poop!

Ok...Poop Troopers.... I have shirts & hats for you Who says you can't dress up to do this work? I'll plan on bringing a wheel barrow and a fork to use and will leave the tshirts/hats at the show office. Please check in there when you arrive. I'm thinking we have enough for teams of two...pusher/scooper to take shifts through the day w/breaks to enjoy the show! It will be good to keep an eye on the end of each class to do any quick clean-ups (I know MY princess must start each arena session with a....uh...dedication/donation/etc...) I'll leave it to the ring stewards to call you in but knowing when each class is over might make it go easier. Also...there is a practice arena right near the side gate to the big one and I'm going to guess that & the small area in between is going to get a lot of hoof traffic...and where there are hooves...there is clean-up to be done! Thank you all who've volunteered for this...I believe you're going to be a hit! also...when I was out there I didn't see any available manure removal equipment so if we can get one more wheel barrow/rake, that would probably be fantastic! See you there, Troopers!!

I will be showing Dory for halter and showmanship - if anyone can cover those times, I'll be happy to scoop the poop the other times and spell breaks, etc. I am sure this all part of some evil karmic plan for me to get my adoption application in sooner rather than later. :-)
Jet - I don't have a wheel barrow or fork but I can pick up a fork at the feed store tonight if there are enough wheel barrows.

THANK YOU Poop Troopers for keeping the public areas and arena's manure free through the show. They had a HUGE task with so many horses and they did a SUPER (Trooper) Job ;D
