I will bring baked goodies (gosh I hope it's not still 89 degrees at my house by then!).
I would also LOVE to paper the sammamish/issaquah/redmond area with flyers if someone would like to email it to me!

So what is the plan? Are people coming this weekend to go through all the tack/blankets/etc that I have and clean/sort/tag as needed? This is a huge task and its not clear to me how/when it is getting done.
What about set up? Do we plan on setting up early the morning of or the night before? How are we planning on displaying the tack? I have one extra table that can be used but I am thinking we need a LOT more. Also does anyone have those free-standing clothes racks? I am thinking we could use them to hang blankets. I have TONS of blankets and not sure how best to display them.
Who is going to be responsible for cleaning up after?
Is anyone handling advertising for the event? I know we have some flyers but what about posting ads on message boards, craigslist, etc?

I have been posting on Craigslist for Tack donations & Have someone South of Olympia who wants to donate some items if there's anyone down that way that can pick it up and bring it to the sale or is willing to meet me somewhere in between. Saturday the 6th is tack sorting/cleaning day...right!! I think Emily's working on that. I have not confirmed what time I'll be flying back but I'm pushing the family to drop me at the airport...any airport...as early in the morning as possible and hope to be back in WA by noon. If all that works, I'm good to drive straight up and either head right to Jaime's or over the Julie's... We have a few but could still use MORE VOLUNTEERS to help sort/tag/organize on Saturday the 6th. I am beefing up the volunteer list for that day so hopefully we can use some of them to help with the sorting after chores I've posted flyers (mostly in hopes of donations) but there has been some interest in coming...even from waaaay down here ;D I planned on posting to Northwest Horse forum this week as that is pretty much my only other board and we've discussed having several people post to Craigs List since one person can't post the same ad (or too similar) in more than one area: Pets, Farm & Gardern, Sporting, Events, Yard Sales, etc.... If we create one then the rest can just copy it. Equine Aid has been posting for donations so far but all three groups should be posting for the sale itself! I'm collecting tack on the south end & will have it cleaned and ready for sale day...I would encourage anyone else coming to do the same... please have/make it sale ready and bring it with you on sale day or arrange to have some one bring it for you. Post here if you have/collected items that need to get to the sale and hopefully someone in your area can help make that happen. What we haven't really discussed and maybe we could use some input...is pricing... I know we could almost call this Blanket Fest so I was thinking we could assign one tarp (I can bring that) to the multitude of blankets we have..perhaps neatly stacked by size...with a volunteer or two to assist shoppers and just put that out there as a leader ad for Blankets $10 (or $5 or ) and put all those canvas blankets in one area. Then we could still have better quality (perhaps waterproof) ones for a more reasonable price somewhere else but the bulk rate ones will draw folks in for the Off-season Blanket Fest Stock Up!? ideas??? As for displaying...I plan to bring my portable saddle racks and would encourage others to do the same...or are there better ideas?? I was wondering if anyone had a laundry rack or other hanging closet poll or something we could hang bridles on? I'm thinking individual boxes or rubber totes for halters/bits/lead ropes/etc.... Emily's got some organizations ideas too... But we still need PEOPLE.... June 6th...sorting/organizing June 13t....early set up...sales....clean up I'm in all day...as long as it takes but come early/leave, early come later/stay later, come early/stay later...you decide...but let us know! I think it's going to be a good sale! ;D

I will be at the Clinton Anderson clinic on the 6th. I will be at the tack sale early to help set up and what ever needs doing. If need be I can come back late for cleanup. Also, could be there the afternoon before the sale. * If anyone needs to drop off tack in the Duvall area, they can bring it here. I will make sure it gets to the sale. I am also picking up someones tack in Issaquah next week. If you need yours picked up too. Let me know.

We are planning on bringing 3-4 tables to display tack and blankets.
If it is possible to set them up the night before I would like to do that!
I did post a flyer at Dels yesterday and plan to post one at Deyoung's tomorrow.

So I planned on coming out early, early, but my husband just told me his flight didn't leave until noon. SO, I can come out later and help for a few hours. Coconut I will bring my "noodle horse" to show you. Would it be too late for me to bring some baked goods (perhaps made at Sams Club) I use to manage a cookie house and fudge house at an amusement park in PA. Pretty sad that i don't bake anymore....

I posted an ad in the Farm & Garden Section today on Craigs List but it would be great if we can cross-post it in Sporting & Pets too as well as reposting it in Farm & Garden each day by other users. If you go to the current ad you can copy it and post it to one of those sections. We need one person per section to do this as CL only allows one post per email address and it only works once a day. We may need someone new re-post it each day or two so it stays up towards the top of the list lets post ads in: PETS SPORTING EVENTS GARAGE SALE It might be helpful to have more posts later to move it up to the most recent ads. Who can help?? Modified: OOPS....forgot the link! seattle.craigslist.org/sno/grd/1213592773.htmlI see someone posted it in F & G today too YAY!!! Thanks for doing the research
