(Monica that is hilarious - I remember that boast but didn't know your camera pooped out right after!)
Holy cow, Jet and Maeve - thank you thank you thank you! I am so grateful to you both. You did an incredible job of coordinating and planning and *doing* and all of us appreciate it. I am so impressed at how well the event was run - like a well-oiled machine.
Cherri, thank you so much for all of the time and hard work you put into catering, the food was lovely, and I hope you have a great time meeting Sinatra and the boys. Also, thank you so much to the bartender, and the two guys (sorry I'm so bad with names) who played guitar throughout the event! Thanks to Leah and Liz and both Lynns, and everyone else who volunteered and helped out. It is always so heartening to see how many other people care about neglected and at-risk horses.
There were lots of wonderful and really high-quality pieces, and horse-related items (also some non-horse-related items -loved the chicken pics!); it was a blast to watch people hover over their selections as the silent auction ended to defeat any swoopers who might outbid them at the last minute.
This was a really fun event, and I am so happy Bill and I came up! It was great to meet some people in person whom I had not met before, and spend some time with people I've always wanted to spend more time with. What a great group of people.
