OMG!!! Those are BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! Bernie, THANK YOU so much for posting them. He looks great & I think it's perfect to see his transformation even if he's not all shedded out. WoW!! Can't wait to see the next round of photos Who would have ever guessed THAT lived inside that poor baby when SAFE first got him? What a testimony to Rescue, eh? Thank you for continuing to treat him like the TREASURE he is!!

I sent Phoenix's "before" picture to the photographer - she could not believe that it is the same horse. Also, very happy that the person responsible for that is currently a guest of the state I am going to get some pictures of us together once he is completely golden - so stay tuned

I am just amazed at how good he looks. He was such a pitiful sight when SAFE first got him, barely able to stand on his own feet and keep himself warm. Makes me want to wrap them all up in bubble wrap!

What a handsome boy he is becoming. Those are great pictures too. It's fun to see how well they get along when they get some good care and attention.

Oh Bernie, those are great pictures! What they don't quite show is how shiny he is in the sunlight, and what great dapples he has I say it all the time, but he quite the looker!

I had to go back and look at the first pics of him in this thread. Hard to even believe it's the same sad little guy on those first pages. I don't think a better name for him could have been chosen, Pheonix indeed. ;D

Amazing the transformation. I'm gonna have to go out and start eating grass from the field. All these horses that were skinny little ponies a year ago look awesome! ;D

So I never get a chance to get pics of Phoenix and I working together, but thanks to Susan Bunch - who takes great photos - here are some shots of Phoenix now that he is three years old.

Wow!! How fitting was his name? Talk about Phoenix rising from the ashes! How tall is he now, Bernie?

He stands somewhere between 15.3hh ad 16hh - and he looks to still be growing. Gets that "butt high" look occasionally. He looks more bulky in the pictures than in person - in person he still has that "coltish" look. Very similar to Emma. Jet - I have to say that he is a little girl's dream personified. I always wanted a Palomino horse growing up (had an Appendix Quarter Horse as a kid). He is gorgeous and my best friend

What a hunk!
And with a dry summer, he probably looks this good all the time.

He sure has grown since last year. He looks so much more mature and filled out. What a great looking boy!
