All right. It's my turn to sit down and do my thank you's for the weekend. I would have done it sooner, but today has just been one big, horrible day.
My first thanks goes to Jaime. Thank you for your hospitality and for letting me hang out on the farm. I loved waking up in the morning and seeing all the horses outside. What a beautiful sight.
Next one goes to Bonnie. You're just such an amazing person. You do such a huge amount for SAFE, and I don't really think SAFE would be what it is without all of your hard work and persistence. You worked tirelessly to set up the show, and kept on going even when the monkey went to heaven. ;D
Jenny, I've never had the pleasure to spend any time talking to you or being around you, but I know now to correct that. Even when you did the longest streak, you were amazing to be around.
Laurie and Kurt, go give Billy Bob and Ralph some treats for me. They're troopers. Can I use them again next year? They're pretty much seasoned trail goats now! And the two of you are instrumental in making the show a success yet again. You are both tireless in your work. We'll have to go in on that cooler next year!
Wendy and Craig, you two are just incredible. I have never seen two people work harder. Even when I got picky about where I wanted to place things, Craig was right there to help me move it. I couldn't have done the course without you! Thank you both so much for helping me put things away when I had other commitments arise at the same time.
Lynn, thank you for your help as well. You were also instrumental in putting together my course. I may have designed, but I couldn't have put all that together by myself. Thank you.
Leah, you're great. You always have a huge smile on your face, and you were wonderful with Little Miss. You could tell she absolutely loved all the attention. You even gave up time with your baby to help with Little Miss.
Monica, I never got to see too much of your riding, but wow. You must have been incredible to help Cedar shine and win the high point award for the rescue horse! You'll have to post pictures of her decorated stall!
Dr. Hannah is just flat out amazing. I watched her ride Haley even through all the little tantrums, and she was so patient. I can't imagine how you managed that. My favorite part of the day was watching you "help" Haley and Cricket through the trail course. Every horse owner should take a page out of your book! You really put them at such ease in such a strange environment.
Mike, thanks for letting all us girls take over your house and give you a hard time at dinner. We all needed to unwind!
Allison, this show couldn't have happened without you. I know you did so much behind the scenes. You have been such a wonderful help to SAFE. Let me know if you ever need anything from me, and I will do my best to help you out!
Merle and Mindy, you have done such a great job with my favorite SAFE horse. You have set her up for such a happy ending, and I cannot believe how much you did with her in just two weeks to get ready for the show! WOW!
If I have forgotten anyone, or I didn't get the chance to visit with you at the show, I truly apologize. There are so many wonderful people behind SAFE making it what it is today. It's heart warming to see so many people jump in to help these beautiful animals. Everyone deserves a big pat on the back and HUGE thank you right now! Job well done!
