How is her canter coming along? She was pretty awkward with her feet the day I was there. Cedar was like that at first, but once she built up more muscle and got her balance back she remembered where to put those hoofs. She is a sweet little thing, I would LOVE to see her doing 4-H or somthing like that with a junior rider.

I spoke to Alyssa earlier today and apparently Isabelle is brewing a little abscess and is a bit lame today, poor girl. Fortunately, she is already scheduled to be trimmed tomorrow afternoon, so our farrier will have a look at her and see if she can make her feel better!

Hope Isabelle feels better... nothing worse than sore feet, I don't care what kind of animal you are! She looks like she is coming along beautifully.

Alyssa? It looks like you deleted ALL your photos of Isabelle. Can you repost them? I understand you not wanting to post the photos of her being ridden without a helmet, but as of right now we only have photos of her from when she was first rescued, and you have all the updated ones. Would be nice to have, especially to show potential adopters....Nevermind. They are back now! I guess I was just seeing things...or must have been a temporary photobucket glitch. Its all good!

Sorry I haven't updated on Isabelle in awhile. Poor girl had a nasty abscess in her frog that finally blew out her heel just a few days ago. She has been really sore so I have not been able to do much with her but treat her foot and give her lots and lots of special attention. She is a wonderful patient if anyone will ever have to treat her. ;D Brandy came out today to see Is so I saddled her up for the first time in 2 weeks. She was pretty good to saddle and bridle but definitely does better with consistency. Oh boy howdy was that girl ready to work! Isabelle is always the picture of training when lounged on a line and today she was just about pulling my arm off she was so rearing to go!!! After a few circles at mach 10 trotting she settled right down into her usual gentle trot with a slack line. She was still a little off on that foot so we did not climb aboard today but I think she will be back to work as usual in just a few days, that frog needs to toughen up just a little more I think. Isabelle is completely rehabilitated as far as her weight goes and considering that she still needs another dental treatment in September and she still quids her hay, she is about one of the easiest keeping horses that I have ever met and she is all muscle from the work that we have been doing during her rehab! ;D

So I see "Pending" next to Isabelle's name. Is there someone interested in her?

Isabelle has been adopted by Kristine and Phineus Lea of Duvall, WA! They have a beautiful 5 acre farm and two young children who plan to spoil Izzy rotten. The little girl has plans to braid ribbons in her hair and make her into a unicorn. If I could have hand-picked the perfect home for Isabelle, this would be it! She will give the children leadline rides and do some light trail riding by Kristine, who cared for horses growing up but is fulfilling a lifelong dream in owning her own horse. Here are some photos of her arrival: Just off the trailer: Walking down to her new barn: Checking out her stall: Having a roll: Coming over to say hi to her new mom:

What a BEAUTIFUL farm, and what a WONDERFUL home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so, so happy for Isabelle!!!!!!!!!! What a fairytale ending for our girl - I'm so glad she will have kids. I remember it being posted early on that Isabelle had a fondness for children. Does she have any horse friends at her new palace? Or will she be an only- horse princess? She looks absolutely beautful, I love her blaze and face so much.

I'm also thrilled for Isabelle, what a wonderful journey is beginning. Congratulations to all. She is a very special mare who took great care of loving Pie until the end.
