Here's My list of things I have for the prize drawing: 1) A basket (Purple feed bucket) filled with horse themed stationery & a $25 gift certificate to Coldwater Creek 2) A lavender Practical Equine First Aid Kit: Built and donated by my company - Practical Kit Co 3) A picnic bag w/all the typical plates/forks/etc...plus wine, opener, towels, snacks and a $25 Trader Joes Gift Card This does not include the Trader Joe's gift basket that they are supposed to be putting together for us. I seriously doubt I'll have time to paint deck chairs as I had hoped. I've done 3 for Parrot Head functions and they've gone over well but with a sore back/end it's kinda hard. IF my inlaws get me the chairs sometime soon...and IF my husband gets them sanded...and IF I have an extra day to paint and varnish then we MAY have a set of cool (if I do say so myself) chairs. I have the art figured out in my head and it's going to haunt me until I make it but it just might have to wait until I only have 200 things to do instead of 1000

My mother made two sets of handmade cards. One has a horse theme and the other is a Christmas theme. They usually retail for $6.00 each.

Laurie, I picked up a couple of horse-themed calendars today to put into baskets where needed. They're 16 month. September 2008 through December 2009

I don't know if the donation I got from Graham Hay Market was recorded. They gave us a bag of LMF Gold - worth $25. I posted this under the posters thread so...sorry. I will be bringing it with me. My plan is to get there at 6:30am to help with the set up and get my marching orders as Ribbon Diva (since I'm pretty clueless at this point).

Well, I asked my mom to make us a Horse Quilt and she said it would take six months. That was six weeks ago and I guess it is done . I have a sketch if someone would like to post it on the list for me. It measures 44 x 60 and has the shades of beige/brown/black and white. I "think" she is putting a sleeve on it so you can use it as a wall hanging but can't remember. There are several options here but I guess it would be up to the President as what to do. 1. Prize Draw at the show 2. Show it at the show and auction if off of eBay 3. Auction off of eBay

Folks, I have seen the CHICKEN version of rabbithounds Mom's quilting talent and I'm willing to bet this is going to be one spectacular piece.
I'd advise not to let it go as a drawing prize unless we want to sell separate $5 tickets for it.

I agree if the item is extrordinary, it should be a seperate item for a drawing.
I had planned on selling the tickets for the saddles for $5 also. So I could add this to the "Super Duper Prize" list.
I think last year we had tickets for the prize drawing added to the pot from people who had bought them online. So with the permission of the BOD maybe they would like to do this again. There should be a cut off date so all the info could be transferred to the tickets and brought to the show. What do you think. The only problem would be if someone not there won something as big as the saddle, how would it be shipped and would they be willing to pay for the cost of shipping so as not to burden SAFE with additional costs.

I have 5 embroidered baseball caps donated by Olson-Mills tack shop. They could go in the baskets!
I could also have one of my prints framed and we could raffle that - what do you guys think?

I was able to get Graham Hay Market to donate the feed. BTW, the other stores I hung posters at were also interested in donating items but the owners/managers were not available on the weekend and needed to be contacted during the weekday (which I unfortunately cannot do). I hope someone will do so. This is a wonderful opportunity I hope will not be overlooked. thanks Lynn

Thanks for pointing that out. I fixed it.
Leahlady, one of your framed prints would be wonderful. Should I add it to the list?
