Re leftover books - there's a Half Price Books in Lynnwood, Hwy 99 and 196th. They buy used books - though not for very much. I could take any leftovers to HPB to sell if anyone wanted to do that. YES! Thank you!

Valerie and I did a couple pick ups today and got some great stuff. What we will need help with now is pricing. Most of the stuff in the storage lockers has not been priced so If you can come up and help out with that we would greatly appreciate it!!
The sale is going to start at 9am. We will need to have people there to help set up between 7 and 8am. Hopefully everything will sell and we can close up shop around 6-ish. We will also need people to help take away things that didn't sell. PM Val or I if you have any questions. We need to know who we can count on to show up so let us know!

Just a thought... but if it's going to be hot this w/e it might be a good opportunity to make some additional $$ on refreshements/baked goods.

Is anyone from the peninsula heading over to any of the drop off areas in the next couple of days? Or anyone from over there visiting here? I'm not going to make it to the sale (sadness! I wanted to shop!!) but still have a box of stuff I'd like to donate. I'm not sure I'll make it over to drop it off myself in the day or so we have left before the sale.

;D I had to dig deep to find this thread but I FINALLY was able to find a home for the Sports Cards that we had left over from last years Yard Sale!
Les had this idea of sorting them out, finding the "good ones" and selling them on eBay. Well, since that was a two person project it just didn't happen so I've had this box floating around the house for over a year and it became a thorn in my side. A couple of months ago I posted them on craigs list and had someone who kept saying he was ready to meet up with me to buy them but for some reason it just never worked out and then he backed out completely. So I drove around with the box most of the time since then. Hey, at least they were out of the house right?
So about two weeks ago I needed my whole car so I took out the box and loaded it into my shop which is already feeling a little closed in by other Show Projects. Finally....today I listed them on CL and sold them "by the pound" at 50cents per lb...which netted SAFE $22.50! Yes, we had 45 lbs of cards and I even ended up carrying them out as the guy who bought them had a hand brace. He felt bad but I figure if I can schlep 50# bags of feed, I can handle a box of baseball/basketball cards!
