Cat came over today and we put this little guy to work! Poor thing! We tacked him in english tack and longed him. I had longed him last week and knew he was broke but this time we put side reins on him and he was wonderful! Cat even got up on him as it was very apparent that he was not going to expend any more energy than he had to LOL He was very good although green- did not know what to do with leg pressure and was confused by the thought of cantering. All in all safe as could be and just needs miles- Cat said he was SMOOTH and he cold go in a walk trot class tomorrow and clean up! He has a lovely little natural head set and he looks sooooooo cute in english tack! Cat will post some pics tonite!

Ha ha, yeah, I've gotten particularly sloppy lately as I've been doing most of my riding in a Wintec, and Wintecs do not pinch you when you ride in shorts, pajama pants, etc. That and I have to lose the 8 lbs. I've gained since I left L.A. or I can't get into most of my jeans!

ROFL, and of course you know I'll ask where is the helmet...? Seriously though - that's not a wintec in the pic it? It looks more like a Steuben. He's pretty cute considering he's not a TB. ;D

Yes, he definitely does not have any get up and go...he will be a nice open show horse, hunt/western, for someone. I can also see him being bomb proof on trails. He's just that type.

Lookit him all cute and tacked up! He actually sounds like the mellow buddy that would be a good match with me and he seems pretty boyfriend safe too. Something tells me he wont still be available in November when I'll be out of school and might finally be able to horse shop, though. I guess we'll just see how things go. Hes going to make an awesome horse for someone thats for sure!!

Well, I have good news and bad news. First of all, the hearing was only on custody today, the trial has been postponed (again). Custody was granted to the county and will revert to the rescues that currently have the horses. This is official as of now. (that's the good news) Now for the bad news. The case may not go to trial, she will be offered a plea in which she gets to keep two horses (ANY two horses). I don't know any more details than that, except that it should be decided by Friday (whether or not she accepts the plea and if so, which two horses she decides to keep). Needless to say I am very worried for both Rusty and Pal.
